- Barak Obama will be the Democratic nominee for President, but Islamists will declare him a de jure Muslim (believing that as a child in Indonesia he was considered a Muslim under Indonesian law) and a fatwa will be declared against him that if he fails to reject Christ and resume his Muslim faith, that he will face summary execution the moment he steps foot in a Muslim nation or within arms length of any faithful Muslim. This will be seen as a foreign policy liability in his bid for the Presidency. He will choose Maria Shriver (first lady of California and a Kennedy) as his running mate.
- Hillary Clinton will be investigated for campaign finance violations, but NOT be indicted on a technicality, but several of her key people will be indicted and be forced to resign and her presidential champaign will lose traction and fall behind due to opposition against her within media circles.

During this time agents of Iran will be blamed for the attack on Bush and an Iranian gun boat will be sunk by US naval forces in the Persian Gulf and the Iranians will retaliate by firing a Silkworm missile at a US aircraft carrier but hitting and disabling a smaller escort ship. Dick Cheney will respond by declaring war on Iran.
-------------------- - John McCain will take office in January of 2009 and continue the war against Iran, but will serve less than two years in office after suffering a disabling stroke. 1.) Ron Paul will drop out
January 14, 2008 - 18:12 ET by BD1.) Ron Paul will drop out and run as a Libertarian which he has always intended to do.
Possible
January 16, 2008 - 05:28 ET by BritcomA distinct possibility, but one which Paul has denied. If he does, it won't have a net effect on the outcome. I think he will endorse Huckabee because they both want to repeal the 16th amendment (the income tax).

Not doin' too well on this one
June 18, 2008 - 16:23 ET by sarcasmoEven though I'm the one admitting others are wrong, in this case -- but IIRC that's as I predicted. :) Paul's still a Republican, and he's going to have a co-convention. He still has hope (for some reason) there's a possible libertarian wing to the Republican Party. That wing helped win in 1980 for Reagan because he respected it, IMO. It might not do the same for McCain, we'll see...And Huckabee's still Elmer Gantry in my eyes, and probably Paul's but I can't speak for him.
JMR
The tax & spend drug war looks racist in the real world.
I agree with the Elmer Gantry comparison
June 18, 2008 - 17:40 ET by BritcomThough I don't know that Huckabee is or was ever a womanizer.
I tend to doubt it.
