I'm not an avid watcher of The Daily show, because quite frankly I cant stand John Stewart or his half baked politcal views. However, I happened to catch an interview with Bill Kristol and was plesantly surprised to see Bill Kristol tearing Stewart apart on Iraq. It was great, everytime John put forth a half thought out thory on Iraq, Bill busted him down. In fact, John contradicted himself more than onnce in the interview. He said at one point that violence is down because of the Sunni Awakening, than at another said the Iraqis arent doing anything. Bill quickly slapped him down with, "but thats what the sunni awakening is, sunnis choosing the government over AQ".
It was really good, hopefull NB will post the video.

I've always found Kristol to
February 22, 2008 - 09:21 ET by ArmedDadI've always found Kristol to be an excellent debater.I sometimes disagree with his beliefs, but he is forthright and tenacious in his arguments.Stewart appears to be an intelligent man,but he relies on left-wing boilerplate for his arguments and that is his downfall.
that's a great observation
February 24, 2008 - 23:51 ET by JnobleAny well spoken conservative/libertarian can totally destroy liberal hero Jon Stewart in a debate. He really has nothing original to say that doesn't stray from whatever the latest left wing rant of the week is against Bush or the Iraq war.
Sad
February 22, 2008 - 19:12 ET by Jerry MackIt is a sad situation that many of our "youth vote" get their political information from zeros like Stewart.
I couldn't agree more
February 22, 2008 - 19:20 ET by bigtimerI couldn't agree more JM...but I am starting to wonder what age category the "youth" is anymore.
Stewart validates liberal
February 23, 2008 - 09:03 ET by ArmedDadStewart validates liberal beliefs and misconceptions and doesn't challenge his viewer's viewpoints much.Couple that with humor and Stewart's affable nature, and the viewer comes away with a positive, shared experience,a small slice of the utopia liberals seek to achieve.
