Is anyone else worried about Putin?

Is anyone else here worried about what Putin has been doing and what his plans are?

More importantly, are the Democrats worried? And if they win the White House, how will they counter Putin?

Putin

We should worry about Putin.

Russia and China flipped out when we announced National Missile Defense. As P.J. O'Rourke put it so well:

"The Missile Shield might or might not stop missiles, but even unbuild it was an effective tool for gathering intelligence on Russian and Chinese foreign policy intentions. We knew how things stood when the town drunk and the town bully strongly suggested we shouldn't get a new home security system."

Putin is kgb, very dangerous

Putin is kgb, very dangerous man. He is a lot like Hitler was before WW2, the people love him because he is bringing pride back into the country that they don't mind the police state.

On Russia

Putin is dangerous, yes, but is also quite clumsy, and not to mention, Russia is not what it was.  (For evidence: look how it handled the Orange Revolution in the Ukraine.)

Yes, Russia has oil, but other than that, what else does it have economically?  In order for its foreign policy visions to be realized, it has to have the backing of a strong economy, and Russia doesn't have that outside of oil right now.  It faces massive corruption, an imploding, aging population, and resurgent neighbors.  By all means, they need to be watched, but I can't say that the Cold War is back on by any means.
