Is America now a Center-Left country?
Dear NB's:
It is described in many areas of the media that America is a "center-right" country at heart, and thus the natural state of play is not liberal or progressive.
As much as it pains me to say it, is that really true anymore, especially after this most recent electoral disaster?
This new column by the progressives is scary on many levels:

Now, I know what most of you are going to say....why read the propaganda on the other side? Well, Ruy Texeira is not some fire-breathing miscreant like Olbermann nor is he the gentile liberal seen on CBS, ABC, and CNN who talks sweet but bleeds liberal like no tomorrow.
He wrote a book about "The coming Democratic majority". His view is that demography is destiny, a left-wing mirror prose to Mark Steyn's "America Alone", which talked about similar things from the conservative side. He predicted that the rise of the unhappy minorities who really don't like America and want it changed markedly, the rise of the liberal young urban hipsters and college educated mind-washed youth, and the slow inevitable aging of the Reagan majority of conservative whites and their deaths.
I watch a lot of political TV and read many conservative and liberal blogs, and I have never seen or heard this Texeira character be an idiot, so thus his words do hold some weight I am afraid.
What do you think?
I unfortunately agree that liberalism/socialism and government supremacy is now the du jour feelings amongst our citizens.....no wonder Obama is so popular.
This country has changed, and changed forever for the worse.....
The left has won. America, by definition, will therefore lose.
Tragic, but majority rules.
