Looking at Variety's article about an Al Franken Documentary, I think the reporter got a little over-zealous with his praise and maybe a little too optimistic about "right leaning nonfans"...................

Smoothly paced, well-crafted pic should greatly please auds attuned to Franken's prickly wit and iconoclastic commentary and might even engage some right-leaning nonfans who grudgingly respect his smartly satirical sass."
