Seems like Al Franken knows Bill Clintons "war on terror" record better than Bill Clinton does.
Frankenlies.com recently exposed Franken's fantasy version of the Duelfer Report, suggesting that Bill Clinton's random bombing of Iraq in 1998, destroyed all of Husseins WMD capabilities.
Of course, the Duelfer Report made no such claim.
But this is not the first time Al Franken has concocted some story to enhance Bill Clinton's inept war on terror.
As Alan Skorski has written in his recent expose on Al Franken, Pants on Fire: How Al Franken Lies, Smears, and Deceives, Franken had the temerity to site a Washington Post report prepared by Barton Gellman, stating, "By any measure available, Clinton left office having given greater priority to terrorism than any president before him."
Franken used this to refute all charges that Bill Clinton was ineffective on the war on terror.
As Skorski proved, the entire chapter by Franken in his Lying Liar book, about the Gellman Report was bogus.
In Pants on Fire, Skorski provides countless data from Gellman that the entire Clinton cabinet ignored and turned a blind eye each and every time an opportunity arose to disrupt terrorist activity.
For example, Skorski cites evidence that Robert Rubin nixed any and all attempts to shut down the Holy Land Foundation, even though he knew that monies were being transferred to terrorists. Further, Rubin rejected all pleas to disrupt banking transactions and money laundering by the terrorists for fear it would look like America was profiling Muslims. there are many more examples in Skorski's book on this very subject.
The point being, Bill Clinton was softer on terrorism that any president before him with the possible exception of Jimmy Carter.
