Request For Another Feature in the Next Version of NB

I was thinking again (dangerous stuff, I know) about other improvements/feature this site could use.

Can we implement Regional and/or State "groups" that we can subscribe to that focus on more local issues? Each group could have a couple of lead contributors/mediators/administrators. That way we could keep up-to-date on the local issues and to also discuss the local stories that don't get coverage on the main NB site. It could also be a great way for some local issues to get wider coverage when warranted.

I know it's logistically a huge feature, but I think it will greatly enhance this site.
