I crunched the numbers from the White House myself this time. (1)

2001-2008 average 19.86%
1993-2000 average 19.91%
1989-1992 average 21.85%
1981-1989 average 22.40%
1977-1980 average 20.82%

1981-2008 average 20.88%

President Bush spent less as a percent of GDP then Presidents Clinton, Bush I, Reagan, & Carter. There is the FACT.

I am sick to death of viscous sticky internet turd trolls coming here thinking they can spout their ignorant lies. Then when caught out in a lie, they hem, haw, and spout ad hominem attacks and are never held to any kind of standard. They claim to come here to debate or learn or discuss. But the truth is they just want to pound on the ignorant knuckle dragging redneck conservatives and they think we will all take it because they think we will all turn the other cheek. So let's all harrass the meeks over at NewsBusters, eh?

I am here to fact check  sticky turd trolls. Check-mate troll. This is now double sourced. BUSH SPENT LESS THAN THE LAST 4 PRESIDENTS before him. I don't know why, but I spent 30 minutes pulling and crunching the numbers to come up with the results. Sticky internet turd trolls ignore facts anyway. But at least we will all have an easy reference the next time a sticky troll pokes up his head and claims Bush was a big spender. Send them here.
