There were even people who never posted here ever who put up forum topics. I don't know how you change that. Maybe by only giving people the privilege after being here for a year and so many posts (100's) and still have the ability to take it away. Why should Conspiracy nuts be able to take advantage of Newsbusters cultivated audience? It's not right but I don't know what the answer is. We should have a place to keep track of some things that we have to keep saying over and over again. Nobody makes anbody read the threads on the forum, and it is an extra click to get here. If something doesn't get commented for a certain amount of time, perhaps the thread gets deleted? It's what ever they want to keep track of. I know for me it was frustrating when I preferred not to see certain things or enter threads that I knew would be contentious but because of clicking on recent comments, I'd end up there. There were many threads that were inappropriate (like the conspiracy ones) that people always responded to because they didn't want the stuff hanging out there. Iggy = ignore. We could have some kind of button to click that would show our annoyance, either by removing them from our screen or simply giving them a "thumbs down" flag. If a certain post gets a certain number of flags, it will trip the system to alert the admins. Then the alleged offender can have his day in court to see if the complaints were legit. That way you all are alerted to trouble without having to catch it at random, but there can be safety net to protect anyone iggied infairly.
