Attn: Matt S. re: Policy related to off-topic religious discussions

As you may recall, in the past you decided to discourage off-topic discussions of religious differences - particularly as regards the Catholic Church - in the comment sections of Home Page articles. Some of us were discussing whether or not this policy was still considered in effect. Is this considered more of a general rule? Or up to admins/mods to make the determination? What say you, Matt?
