What is this? any time i click a link i get FOUR pop-ups. Is this something new for NB?

You might have adware on

You might have adware on your PC (whuch has nothing to do with NB)

Either way, you should install Firefox and select Tools / Options / Block pop-wp windows.

If you still get pop-ups, download Spybot S&D.

I'm getting the same thing, and it's site-specific; I'm not getting this anywhere else. I get my standard two the first time I link to Newsmax's site, but this is four or five ads EVERY time I go somewhere on this site. It's getting obnoxious.

Pop-ups must die.

I do not mind the content advertising as much because it doesn't constantly cause my system's pop-up blocker to open its dialog box.

Moreover, IE 7 does not like these pop-ups in particular. Since they have been enabled, I see persistent JS errors associated with the rich-text features of the comment window.

Pop-ups are dangerous. Pop-ups are invasive. Pop-ups must die!

One of our advertising partners was attacked last night and it messed up their servers which caused the popups. They've since fixed the problem by changing to another computer although not everyone's ISPs have transfered it over.

I hear you, though. It was extremely annoying.

Hey I posted about this somewhere else today and was gone for a bit..thanks Avatar...I thought I was really going nuts..it has been like I have never seen in all the time I have been here..still doing it too, though it seems to have slowed down some...I hope...nope still poppin'!

More Pop Ups

When I got home from work today, I had 62 (yes....that is correct) pop-up "revenue" ads. (I leave my computer on in the a.m.).

I re-enabled my pop-up blocker, which fixed that...however, it is annoying to have the banner show up announcing pop-ups blocked. Plus, I'm getting an audio of the "block" each time I move on this site.

Site specific, I think.

Glad it isn't just me, and thanks for the thread / posts, all.
