I am watching this interview with Rick Santorum and CNN Wolf Blitzer right now. Instead of simply saying. I am running for President, obviously I believe that my ideas and policies are a better solution and believe that voters should vote from me. then on the obvious follow-up, "Wolf, lets talk about my policies, I am sure that you will have Ron Paul on and he will be able to explain his positions to you, I am offering voters a much better solution. Easy, an just move on, this is Santorum's responsibility. Instead, the first 8 minutes Rick speaks entirely on Ron Paul. The 2nd segment, is all about what Rick thinks of Romney and Perry. 3rd segment he again speaks to other candidate positions. Santorum COULD have controlled as an executive should the direction of the interview, instead he just gets lead along. Reminds me of when Ron Paul was on meet the press and all he did was answer question on Newt and others. Pathetic that Santorum can not handle biased MSM, as if he has not figured out they have an agenda....Breaking News Rick.....you got played.

This is the most confusing forum ever.

Did Rick Santorum mention Sarah Palin and/or Sarah Palin quitting or not? Why can't you stay on topic?

Food for thought.

We will only get the representation we vote for. Holding our nose and voting for the lesser of two evils will only produce evil, of one type or another, winning election.

I refuse to participate in that debacle any longer. I am leaving that trite stinkbait in the tackle box only to be used for seeking out the monster catfish.

I want Sarah Palin to sit behind the Resolute Desk. I will vote for Sarah Palin to sit there. If others did the same thing, she would sit there. What is she going to do, say "No." if we band together and vote for her in spite of the media and the "major" parties wishes?

Vote Liberty. Vote Sarah.

Look, the establishment Republican Party cannot come up with a candidate that garners more than 25%. That translates the reality that the RINO "base" is only one in four general "republican" voters. It is not "us" who should be "holding their nose" and voting with "them". It is them who must "hold their nose" and vote with us - or be responsible for losing (or admit that they are actually Democrats with an (R) behind their names).

I say again - Vote Liberty. Vote Sarah.

That an individual right exists requires that some policy positions be removed from the table of debate.

Join the rest of us in 2012 (in 3 days) Sarah is out of it, you are living in 2008. If you want to hold your nose and not vote, you will get Obama again. So your non-vote is still going to swing the bar over to Obama. Sarah told you she is not running, she said she would not be a Governor any longer, she has a job at Fox News. See the picture.

Otherwise known as idiot.

Nice sentence formulation, by the way.

Well, unfortunately, Bachmann's campaign crashed and burned tonight. Santorum will survive Iowa though. I'm guessing we're looking at milquetoast vs. batshit crazy for the nom. And milquetoast wins in a landslide. Then we've all got to hold our noses again this go-round and get behind Romney in order to oust the boy wonder. At this point though, I'm past worrying about the White House; the Senate is the prize we should all be focusing on.

The Presidency is more
The Presidency is more critical than the Senate by far. Obama can veto just about anything that would come out of a united Republican Congress. Getting the Senate with all of Congress would of course be huge. But not having the Presidency would mean the Supreme Court will be over loaded with ultra liberals. The Obama re-election risk to the Supreme Court is huge.

He can't get nominees through
without Senate confirmation. If we hold the Senate, we chair the Judiciary Committee. He could try and he would fail to bring radicals to the table. And the veto might work for a while, but you don't govern with the veto pen and every veto would weaken he and his party politically. A GOP President is still rather impotent with a Democratic Senate.

bkseyer, I would agree IF not
bkseyer, I would agree IF not for how the Republicans have treated Obama's appointments to Supreme Court. Lip service, and then they say, well the election counted and he has a right to appoint who he wants. I have no confidence that a Republican Senate or Congress would stop an appointment. The odds of Obama getting in his nominations over a Republican Senate and Congress is about 95% IMO. Meanwhile Obama will use the various agencies (EPA etc) to push his agenda, even without passing any new laws.

But you're missing the reality

There was little anyone in the GOP could do to stop those nominations short of losing any credibility and hope to have some sort of effect on the major legislation being pushed by the 60-seat Senate Democrats. They also gave him the benefit of the election victory with Sotomayor.

Maybe read this: Obama’s Nightmare: Reelected in 2012 but Republicans Take the Senate. I just found it this evening. Somewhat different take than mine since it's the Daily Beast, but they seem to recognize the importance of holding the Senate as well.  He's toast if we take the Senate.

I am afraid your right BK
I can live with any of them, but the Senate would be a huge help. We need more Tea Party candidates everywhere.
