In a common practice among their kind, a poster at Sojourners laments another holiday celebrated by the common masses in the United States, Independence Day.

Apparently, because taxes (money) were one of the reasons for the Revolution, and because the Founders were still imperfect and formed a still imperfect nation, we should celebrate the day we won freedom.

Or, better yet, we should let this Sojrone stew in his own unhappiness, acknowledge that he does indeed have the right and freedom to be a bitter little man if he wishes, and celebrate the blessings God has given this imperfect nation on the anniversary of the day we declared our independence.
