I'm a doofus in all things Internet ! I've managed to log into Disqus , how do I get to NB on Disqus . Sorry for being such a twit ,any help will be appreciated .

Last NB 'old thread' shut down

Oh my. The "Open Thread: Comment Switchover" blog -- which was my only way for me to converse with people -- is now shut down for comments. I thought something was wrong when people stopped gabbing on there. There is a notice on there that it is no more. That did tick me off. For those of us having trouble, couldn't that one measly thread have been kept open?

So other than the Forums, I am locked out. I'm enrolled in Disqus, but I still can't be seen when I post, nor do I see anyone else's comments -- with the exception of one or two comments on a few threads (people I don't know). I also can't track anyone...well, I guess that's obvious, since I can't see anyone.

Wow. Bummed out. I'm too tired out from an ear and sinus infection to delve into this anymore, but just wanted to say "hi" and miss ya'll.

on that Comment Switchover thread [in the old comment section].  It appeared to post properly.  You might give it another try.

Well, here is the deal. My account no longer recognizes my old user name, but it recognizes my old password, with my new name. I seriously think I will be one who doesn't make the cut for this changeover, Jer. I don't see what else I can do, and I can't be on a regular PC during this time.

Maybe you could practice on the Obama Whitehouse web site It runs disqus over there too. Kidding, joke.... or just try an older thread... The Blaze has some screen shots of this NB site from yesterday..

I've always had a great sense
I've always had a great sense of timing when it comes to things like that :-) Anyway , I got on NB at Disqus . It's going to take a while to get used to it.

Comments on blog posts are temporarily disabled. Disqus comments will show up in a little bit as our cache servers catch up to some template changes that I made.

This is true, Comments may be disabled for a while
We got hacked (again) yesterday.....so there is much going on behind the scenes today. So please, be patient. And nixon....GREAT to see you back here, fella.

I really have enjoyed this site since I stumbled onto it 6 years ago . So many really intelligent and decent folks .
