Keep your annoying crap here where no one cares. Stop bothering me like you have the brains to take on a trolljegeren.
Just post your irrelevent crap here like you usually do and we can all go back to ignoring your boring badly spelled and composed idiocy.
You are becoming unhinged.
It is fun harassing me in a forum that is not one of your shadow blogs. Yeah, I come over to one of your precious underground shadow blog entries, and suddenly I have a problem.
Yeah, you keep searching for some button to push to torque me. Completely forgetting that I have been insulted far worse by trolls that are far smarter than you. Reminding me that I say and do some things that are not very nice to trolls at all. But, it is all cool because it ain't in one of the famous Shawn's Leach off NewsBusters' blogs. Can't come up with your own boring blog somewhere LeachTroll?
Yeah LeachTroll. I am un-friggin'-hinged. How is that working out for you? Still on with all the pretend to be friendly banter LeachTroll? Still want to keep digging for some little button 100 trolls have not found? Still having fun pokin' the unhinged man?
You are outclassed little boy. Shut up and leave me the hell alone now.
First of all it was not even your thread. Its a thread you are trying to get somebody to respond to you, because obviously he is getting to you by ignoring you. I was just curious about your logic and tried to be respectful of the way I asked it. Obviously i was polite enough.
Secondly this is the 2nd time you have gone after me on different threads within 10 minutes. First on a thread that I am trying to have a civil conversation with misguided liberal, now on this forum.
Its obvious to me you are upset. Okay okay. you are not upset, this does not bother you in the least. Its a coincidence I keep running into you on these threads? Okay? you can have the last word now, I won't bother you or pick on you anymore okay?
Yes. Oh yes. Now I can get in the last word. I am in your Blook Sucking Leech blog. Must protect that at all costs.
How is that working out for you? I am unhinged and now upset. And yet you think it is a good idea to just keep on poking. Yeah, I may be unhinged and upset. You. You're just stupid.
Guess what Dead Zippers. Just like Stupid sitting on your couch and eating all of your Doritos. Looks like I am moving in. Now bring me a beer LeechTroll. I'm thirsty.
My forums are leech blogs, but your whining threatening to leave forums are nice editorials. Hey please please please please NB members beeeeegggg me not to leave, I am teh vet the most important man on NB.
Once again after you explain things, it seems so clear.
btw
You do know this is part 2 right? My last one went over 300 post, so you might accuse me of messing with the view count but I sure cant pretend to be another poster.
Well actually you sound alot like Mike Bratton right now.
........be innocent?
Great season but Lou folds too easily. Maybe they should have started Schnieder? Also, where did the Ginger Twins go this series? I saw them a few times in the playoffs but they seemed to have disappeared during the finals.
Get a new goalie and maybe next year will be the year.
What do you think of Ozzy retiring. Will he be in the hall?
Ozzie doesn't get a whole lot of respect outside of Detroit but he has the stats to make a case for the hall. I always thought he was a great playoff goalie and he did beat down Patrick Roy....that should seal it.
........that can't handle the fact that they did not win and just want to cause trouble. It might be the city of my birth but i am ashamed for them right now
At least they are rioting for a good reason. I NEVER understood rioting after winning a championship. Remember when Montreal declared nuclear war on itself in 1993 after the Habs won the Cup?
True fans don't riot. The riot would have happened even if the Canucks won. The people that started the riots already had the flammable material and were just looking for trouble.
I'm watching The National now. And you know something?
It confirms for me something.
The Vancouver Police were, and are, essentially worthless.
But the last people who will figure this out will be the people of Vancouver.
It just goes to show that in the end the cops are limited in what they can do and people better be prepared to look after themselves. Fat chance of that happening in Canada.
It could have easily have hapenned in an American city. Don forget there were over 100 thousand people downtown and they got things under control within a few hours
Don't forget the Seattle WTO protest, the damage to property a few months ago in Madison Wisconsin. Rodney King?
How about the Los Angeles riots during game 7 of their finals with the Celtics a few years ago? Detroit World series 1984? How about riots after your Denver Broncos repeated as champs?
My whole point is real fans don't riot.
How about just a few days ago in Dallas? What rioting took place there?
How many times did San Antonio riot after its four championships?
Hmmmm?
Of course, all of these championships took place after 1995, when then Governor Bush signed concealed carry into law. Oh, I suppose you COULD riot here, but you take the chance of encountering some rather pissed off people who aren't going to sit around and wait for the cops to come protect their property as people in Vancouver did (primarily because they had no choice).
MY point is that if some shopkeepers in Vancouver were armed, and shot some of those rioters with the full intention of killing them, that riot would have ended MUCH faster. But no: Canadians once again got burned by their boundless faith in government.
They do not happen all the time and when they do, they are embarrassing. I'm also saying they have happened in the United States in the recent past but maybe not in the State of Texas.
Shawn, I am going to break you hear still further.
The same things have happened pretty much everywhere.
When I was growing up in Europe, I remember well that for a month, you couldn't turn on the news or grab a Stars and Stripes without seeing scenes of rioting because a British soccer team showed up. Things got so ugly in one instance in Belgium in May 1985 that British teams were kicked out of European competitions until the beginning of the 1986-1987 season.
The riots in Vancouver weren't the first time for Happyland. I love how you cite a slew of American cities that have sustained riots over sporting events (though I DO very much appreciate you including Detroit, which declared nuclear war on itself in 1984 after the Tigers won the World Series), but neglect to point out that Vancouver isn't the ONLY city in Happyland where a riot occurred. In June 1993, Montreal went full tilt after the Habs got the Stanley Cup. In August 1992, Montreal exploded because Guns 'n' Roses didn't appear at a concert with Metallica and Faith No More. (Or maybe they walked off the stage. I forget. But I know that concert turned into a free for all.) You have Toronto last year and Quebec City in 2001 when it hosted the G20 Summit.
My one visit to Calgary happened during the G8 summit and the tense atmosphere there made it an unpleasant visit. There were maggot-infested anarchists and spoiled rich kids all over the place, as well as cops from every part of Canada on the streets there. That nothing happened was a pleasant surprise.
You're embarrassed. Me? I'm jaded. I've seen this happen way too many times in way too many places.
I would submit that Vancouver actually has less to be ashamed of than you think. Yeah, it has an element of assholes. No great shock there. (So Vancouver is much like any other city on earth in that regard.) But one night of drunken mayhem does nothing, for me at least, to dim how I view Vancouver. I like that city so much that, depending on how things break out, I'll travel there to run a marathon next year or the year after.
I believe if you have over A Hundred thousand people in the downtown core and and a riot starts, it is not easy for the police to control the situation quickly regardless of the city you in
Your reasoning if people guns to protect their store fronts is one thing, but a riot also consist of many fights breaking out and damage to city property as well.
Edit
Also sometimes you have to have faith in people. A group of brave folks held idiots that wanted to burn down a book store. They brave folks also stopped a book burning without firearms as well.
http://www.cbc.ca/m/touch/canada/ottawa/story/2011/06/17/bc-riot-chapter...
I didn't know about the bookstore, but I did see The National the other night, and it showed people doing what they could to induce sanity to the crowds.
But again, violence works. If you want to stop a riot COLD, just have the cops announce they have orders to shoot to kill. THAT is how you maintain order in a downtown core of...any size.
Violence works, and works every single time it is tried.
The Vancouver cops had their hands full that night and if the shopkeepers had access to weapons, and shot to kill, the riot would have been over a LOT faster. Better if they did that and the Vancouver cops had orders to shoot to kill.
(Hmmmm. I wonder if that was the Chapters store I visited both times I was in Vancouver...)
Some innocent folks go hit by rubber bullets and shoved by police. Unsane I repectful your opinion but even if one defenseless rioter go shot and killed the VPD would have public relations nightmare on it's hands
Can you imagine how the press would treat this if a union member causing damage to property was killed a few months ago in Madison Wisconsin?
Also I believe that is the Chapters u went to. It's huge and has an escalator to the second level right?
As much as you like to call people out for apples and oranges comparisons, you just made one.
One, these poor defenseless rioters weren't too defenseless. They were destroying property and injuring people left and right. So, for once in my life, I wouldn't have shed a tear had the Vancouver cops actually decided that the defense of property was part of their job and decided to shoot to kill. And you know how critical I can be of law enforcement.
Last I checked, as bad as the union protesters were, they didn't do NEAR enough the damage that the rioters in Vancouver did. So the cops in Madison had little to no reason to do anything on that level. In Vancouver, you had rioters engaging in looting, burning property, damaging property, and injuring people. Something had to be done, and it could have gotten done faster if someone had the guts to end things quickly.
The BEST way to stop a riot is to issue orders to "shoot to kill".
That would be the Chapters location, BTW. And as good as it is to hear that the forces of good peaceably defended the building, that is dwarfed by the number of good people who were ineffective, as I saw on The National the other night.
Even though I don't completely agree, you have made some good points and it's nice to see somebody that is looking to discuss and not looking for a fight
Thx again.
That is pretty lame.I told myself I would stay away from pro sports but Bobby Orr has got to be happy.BRUINS FTW !
She will give Mitt a run for his money. I wonder If Palin is far behind

Manny Maholtra cleared to play in final Go Canucks!!!
It's been a few days since the big win but it's time to clear the cob webs and get back to work. Besides, there is still one more series left.
BTW...Ben Eager had a very nice view from the penalty box. I am surprise given your love of...that type of thing you didn't post pics or a video.
And even though I might post some provocative stuff, I think NB might not be as understanding with actual nudity
One more series to go and hopefully Lord Stanley will belong to Vancouver.
And looked sensational at the Billboard music awards. Britney Spears looked good too

Wings looked great, they have nothing to be ashamed of.
It still stings though. Now I know how Hawks fans felt. Should have taken it a bit easier on a few of them. I will be rooting for your Nucks in the WCF and the Lightning in the ECF. If they both make it, I think I'll have to go with TB (sorry, but Stevie Y. is the man).
It was everything I wanted. They did a great job.
I know.......
However hopefully there is more to this story than reported. Looks like some folks were booted off a flight from the pilot simply because they were wearing Muslim clothing.
Down 3 games to none? You must some kind of comeback except for bringing up past glory.
It's just my team actually HAS past glory. Maybe someday your team or your back-up team will have some. They've been close games so the 3 - 0 is a bit misleading. However, I am hoping they get swept. Seriously. They need to clean house. The old guys are well......OLD and slow and tired. The young guys don't seem to be learning from the vets or are relying on them and not stepping up. Maybe if they get swept the higher powers will realize that they need to do more in the offseason than sign old men from other teams (Modano) and get some young, hungry guys.
Speaking of past glory, I think if more members of the team didn't know what it was like to hoist the cup, they might play with more drive. They don't seem to care. Don't even get me started on them going in to cruise control every damn time they get a ONE GOAL LEAD.
Lastly, San Jose has thier number for one reason and I think it's Todd McLellan. He was a big part of Detroits past glory and knows the system well. They need to make alot of changes and I don't know if they will without being embarassed.
Even if a Republican wins the Presidency next year. The dems can just say. Hey the present doesn't matter we kicked you butt in 08 and Clinton won two terms In a row. It's the past that matters, read you loud and clear :-)
I hope they don't get swept, they were a great team in the regular season and the swept their first round series. Their nucleus is still awesome.
Comparing sports to politics? FAIL
It seemed like a good comparison to me, since this is a "political" website and all, it but since you don't like it, I guess it does no matter that the Edmonton Oilers are the worst team in the league because of all their Stanley Cups. It does not matter that The Montreal Canadians got eliminated by the Bruins because Montreal has more Stanley Cups than anybody
The Oakland Raiders are not a laughing stock because of their Superbowl appearances and it's okay to be subpar. Does not matter how good Dan Marino was, he did not win Superbowl.
Lol come on now Sentry when u were trash talking me I was being humble, when the skate is on the other foot, your just being snippy :-(
Is this the Off-Topic forum...and the forum about NOTHING. So anything above you've posted that is not political must go eh? So pointing out all the flaws of my team and the hope they get embarassed in order to rebuild is being snippy and not humble???? I'm pretty sure you got very "snippy" before.
As far as your examples go, nothing matters but Cups buddy. Championships in sports are all that matters to the team. The Raiders, Oilers and Canadians suck but they can draw pride from their history. Teams like the Sharks and Canucks have every reason in the world to be proud of their teams current and past successes but.....what do they have to show for it? In a few years, no one will care how far they got in the playoffs if it doesn't result in a Cup.
As far as Dan Marino, that's looking at an individual as opposed to a team or organization. However, if I were him, I would have rather won a Super Bowl but that's just me.
In the end, this is all sports trash talk. Your adoptive team beat mine. Point you. My team has 11 cups to your teams zero (both your teams, BTW). Point me. That's how it works.
I was just trying to have some fun. If San Jose was not so close to me I would probably go for the Wings.
If this was actually a face to face conversation, you'd realize we are having some fun. There's no ill will here. If a had not met so many trash talking Sharks fans, I might be able to cheer for them. I've seriously been asked by bandwagon Sharks fans to explain offsides and icing. I do however enjoy and support the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL. They are Sharks and Oilers affiliates. It's a bonus that the minors have plenty of fights. As far as Canuck fans go, they know hockey and are very humble and classy. Probably because Canada sucks and they know it. Pansies. ; )
