The trouble with conservatives in media
I was watching Fareed Zakaria GPS this morning (I know, what was I doing?!!) and the only reason I did because they had Peggy Noonan and some guy that I don't remember from National Review.
The guys I was most mad at after the exchanges was not the two liberals and Fareed, but the so called conservative from NRO and Noonan.
1). Why is it that our side sits comatose while the leftists and socialists make these wild accusations like, for example, that the tea party is racist, nativistic Neanderthal knuckle-draggers unworthy of any respect and only condemnation.
When they are given a chance to speak, they cutely and quietly say "Well, every group has their radical elements?" and ending there.
How about, "That tired racial rant is going nowhere, and you guys have no other tactic. How about explaining the left-wing racism of Sharpton, Pelosi, and Obama?" Does the left have anything else to explain away Obama's awful record?
2).When asked about the Chamber of Commerce or other right wing source of funds, why do they answer so meekly, like they have something to hide?
Why not answer, "How the hell do you guys explain George Soros, the whole radical, marxist Hollywood nexus, and finally, Obama's shenanigans with regards to campaign financing in 2008?
In summary, other than Hannity and some others, NO ONE on our side puts up much of a fight....not SE Cupp, not NRO types, not ANYBODY. Is there some rule that says you must emasculate yourself speech wise when you appear on a liberal gabfest like Face the Nation, CNN shows, Meet the Press, etc. It seems wherever they go, be it on the MSM or Fox, liberals new and old show up, fight hard, interrupt wildly to never allow the conservative a clean swing, and make their points much, much better than any conservative.
I'm just plain sick and tired of it.
