No waves, few clouds, small time wind here in south far west Asia...great day for diving, or for some telephoto pictures.
Seeing the clear blue sky meeting the horizon @360 ° that blue on blue boundary line out here in the deep blue Pacific. Gives one a tad of rock fever, just a tiny speck out here.
Summer time in Hawaii is the best. Glad the jet aircraft still work.
Being a senior allows you to celebrate the DAY and forget the YEAR. Have fun. And today also happens to be my NB birthday. NB, Killa, what a pair...;-)
Having also reached the magical age I usually respond in one of two ways. If they feel the need to "card me" I say thanks for the compliment. The other is I decline any use or reference to the word "senior" and ask that they say "distinguished American" instead. Fortunately I have a flying cross to go along with it.
Today is Da Killa's burfday, and I've reached some 'magical age' where I'm supposed to be wakin' (Obamaspeak) up and smellin' the coffee, and ridin' the senior bus to some convenience store to use my discount on useless knick-knacks, and sittin' on a park bench with other over-the-hill types, reminiscing about old times while ooglin' the young girls....................or maybe kickin' back in a smokin' jacket on the couch, puffin' on a pipe and readin' the newspaper...............or walkin' to the senior center to do some morning exercises.................or maybe even courtin' a li'l ol' blue-haired darling who wears an over-sized and under-styled flannel dress, with nylons and a pair of those black, boxy shoes.........................there are just so many choices when you have all that time on your hands.
BUT!!!! Da Killa is BAAAAAD............and he's ISLANDWIDE and NATIONWIDE.................and he has a government to support, so I will be going to my jobsite as soon and I finish my coffee and get dressed. But I might have a refreshing swim after work, and I can guaran-damn-tee that if there was any surf today (we don't get much surf out here in the summertime), I would play hooky from work and have two sessions........................plus, the scenery at the beach is always very nice, in many different ways!!!!
And this evening, while enjoying a couple of black cherry/vodka drinks, I'll probably be workin' on a couple of new tunes to try out at the next KORE session..................I'm tryin' to come up with some kind of version of the Al Green classic 'Here I Am, Baby, Come and Get Me' (or whatever it's called).............and I had a brainstorm the other day at work about learnin' that Dionne Warwick classic 'Walk On By'....................so I might sit right down and figure that one out, along with some others.

edit. Just reread this post and I'm rethinking my reference to butts and convicts and prison. Probably not the best word choices. Uncomfortable imagery.
From what I could find out there was a second fire that has been extinguished, There was no mention of arson. The original fire is reported to be under control and is under investigation.
Sorry this is OT but I was wondering what you know about a 2nd refinery on fire in California. apparantly they are now looking at arson. Cant find any updates. If you hear anything would you let me know? thanks

Are you sure there was a second refinery fire or just a single fire affecting California's second largest refinery?
