    Well

Well, it's better name than naming your son Adolph.

    How old are you?

"As I recall, Time magazine named Adolph Hitler as "Man Of The Year" way back in January  of 1939."

You recall?  How old are you?

    Dave, we had to "defoliate"

Dave, we had to "defoliate" the branches from a few bushes to make into "trees" for our "jungle battles". Oh, my mom's poor old Heavenly Bamboo and Gardenia bushes... :)

And, yeah, I flooded the backyard a few times myself.... The question is, who was scarier, your dad or mine? We always said our dad's bark was worse than his bite, but he could strip off skin with his bark.

The media doesn't refer to Bill Clinton as the disgraced former President who was impeached for lying under oath.

  • Sarah Palin Sends 'Message to All 57 States' Bashing Media Focus on North Korea Gaffe   2 years 29 weeks ago
Andy Sullivan is having a hysterical hissy fit---

This gay dude did have Palin’s misstatement on North Korea on his for-gay-eyes-only site yesterday, but for him to lie about that is par for the pitiful insane trans-human Provincetown sport-of-nature. Pathologists should dissect this creature after his upcoming demise to discover what sort of disease makes him hate women with a lot of kids—-by the way, Palin is of Irish heritage on her maiden name and her parents were Catholic before they went the evangelical route.

Hysterical Andy went straight from Catholicism to Satanism without an intervening stop for rest.

    Shooter?---

    Nah.

Way too masculine a word to describe a liberal like you.

Of course the barrel of fish keeps getting bigger, fool.

While limp wristed, lame brained  liberals showing up on a conservative site is not all that rare actually, their inane, but insulting chatter, like blood in the ocean, tends to draw the sharks, rather than the aquarium type tetras that hang out in said barrel of fish.

You haven't yet met any truly mean ones here.

You will, and you will not survive them.

Roger Ebert should not have to suffer on the way to his eventual demise.

That said, he is an ass, and you, Squelch, are the ideal champion for him; as you are a world class ass.

    It's so obvious.

"I think that's what voters are looking for."

Well, judging by the results of the last election cycle, it's obvious that most of America doesn't care what you think anymore.

    See, the "reply" button works.

From Jackson Browne- I always liked The Load Out/Stay. It was recorded for the Running on Empty Live album in '77 at Merriweather Post Pavillion, an outdoor concert venue I've been to many, many times. He's a talented musician- there's not much he's done on a piano I wouldn't listen to.

    His politics are another story.

By the way- see how this works? You make a reasonable comment- even in descent from the usual position generated on this site- and polite conversation ensues. However, making a comment that implies you're murdering the members here with your superior shooting skills could be construed as less than civil. Frankly, I'd be surprised if you've got the actual stones to take such a tough tact, but if you think you're game, I'm sure you'll find many willing to duel. Load up, partner- if you think you can shoot straight enough. Otherwise, learn from those who've already lost this battle; if you want to be part of society, try to maintain some semblence of civility- that's something liberals are supposed to be good at.

       Isn't it amazing that

Isn't it amazing that Liberals think that a person that can't figure out whether they are a boy or girl is normal but a person who believes in smaller government is some sort of mouth breathing degenerate.

Chris, a garden turned into Iwo? LOL.

You would have had to rip out all the foliage to get that look.

We didn't get into trouble over the water, as our backyard sloped down to a semi-dry creek that ran to the combined Atlanta storm and sewer system.

LOL - No telling how many of my semi-melted army guys wound up at the sewage treatment plant.

What we did get in trouble for was forgetting to turn off the hose, which my dad would find still running several hours later.

    porp,

    porp,

Back in the days when there were four channels and nothing on, as opposed to today, when there are one hundred channels and still nothing on? :)

You and me both. It's sad for anyone to be ill and suffering, but, like you, I don't know what that has to do with inherent interest in one's opinion of, say, the Tom DeLay trial.

    I agree.  These

I agree.  These self-mutilating people are in need of counselling, not acceptance.

I also agree the next step in the Liberals war on military readiness will be to push these sick individuals as the next persons who are discriminated against and must be accomodated.

Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

    Attempted Coup?

Hay, the only one who attempted a coup was Rey Decerega, director of programs for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, after he smashed Obama's lip while shooting hoops.

    “There are more and
“There are more and more transgender children today who, even at young ages, are allowed to live their lives in alignment with who they are [not who they "think" they are]. As it becomes common medical procedure to allow these children to transition in childhood, athletic policies need to reflect this change in the landscape of student athletes.”   (emphasis mine)

That  they can spout this and then in the next breath talk about "ethics"  is just mind-boggling.

    Chris,

My wood burning kit got taken away from me after after one day, and my third chemistry set (made back when they had for-real chemicals in them) got returned before I had even had a chance to open it.

That's okay, though, 'cause I had a hell of a great time blowing up most of my green army men with the stash of firecrackers I found in the attic later.

    :-)

    -Dave

  • Roger Ebert Celebrates Thanksgiving Rejoicing Tom DeLay's Conviction   2 years 29 weeks ago
    Dave,

Ah, the chemical set. All those little glass jars and an "illuminated" microscope. I played with my brother's set that he never used. I can't remember the manufacturer, but I still remember the "incantation" for one of the chemical magic tricks.

As for the jumbo bags of amy men, I remember when I turned a section of my mom's garden into a topographical representation of Iwo Jima, Okinawa, or something, for my tanks and army men - complete with mountains, rivers, and bridges. My mom wasn't amused. But we had fun sending "floods" down the "rivers" to wash out the enemy... :)
