  That is exactly what they are counting on.  This is "Big Lie" propaganda at its best.  You the viewer are supposed to be uninformed enough to believe that Obama wants to give you a tax cut, but evil Republicans wont let him give you a tax cut without giving $400 Billion to the wealthiest earners.  And that would be $400 Billion that the US Government can't afford because it will increase the deficit.

  This Administration and his media sycophants are lying straight faced to the American people.  It isn't even a very good lie, but one that is easily debunked.  But they continue to spew it in the hopes that enough people will swallow the garbage.

I didn't say that it wasn't a gaffe or that she didn't know what she was talking about. You said she corrected herself when in fact she didn't; Beck did. That's all.

Let's rewind to a few weeks ago, when I posted the original article.  Tim Graham observed the callousness of remarks Tina Fey made at an awards ceremony.  The posts made by NewsBusters aficionados were as aggressive as Fey's original remarks--rather odd, since Mr. Graham was observing how wrong Fey's contentiousness was in the first place.

Such remarks from NBers are fuel for liberal fires.  You might have noticed that, from time to time, the NewsBusters site will post articles about liberal invective--not from well-known figures, but from the posters at websites such as DU and HuffPo.  It opens the door for painting NewsBusters as being hypocritical for having so-called "conservative" posters who post in precisely the same way as their counterparts at liberal websites, does it not?

Conservatism, like it or not, has a higher standard than does liberalism.  I even went so far as to post a summary of ten general principles Russell Kirk stated as safely defining conservatism.  Again, not my idea, not my personal opinion, but long-held conservative ideals.  Name-calling and personal disparagements did not make his list.  So, objectively speaking, how do people get to rightly call themselves conservatives while coming across with very liberal forms of discourse?

I've attacked no one, actually, and I would hardly call the predominant type of response in this valuable storehouse of a forum thread either "kind" or "gentle."  

Show me where I've said something along the lines of this gem: "You unspeakable filth."  From a rabbi, supposedly.  

Or this work of art: "Enjoy the yummy yummy taste of my butt."  

Or, if those don't float your boat, this bit of amazing: " Here is a quarter. Call someone that cares and then go downtown and have a rat gnaw off that mole of your face.  Freakshow. Trainwreck. grit eatin', scum suckin', boot lickin', drop kickin', gut grindin', nail bitin', glue sniffin', scab pickin', butt scratchin', egg hatchin', sleezy, smelly, pepper bellied, dirty, lousy, rotten, stinkin', freak. Nothing but a pencil neck geek."

Just little tidbits of the type of discourse that, really, ought not be endorsed.

Correct.  Your misuse of them, however, was.

You've caught onto what I referred to previously as the "mini-meme," which is not surprising.  I don't exalt myself, engage in the unfortunate school-yard name-calling, slur other people, or do anything that would legitimately cause anyone to be able to characterize me as a "bitter, arrogant elitist."  Yet that's the meme a few unfortunate people have developed in lieu of saying things like "Well, Mike, I think conservatism should have a bigger tent."  You know, sort of like what you said until you diverged into the disparagements.

I asked questions.  And I got answers that were more vivid than I had anticipated, sad to say.

Shawn, of course Walters is attacking her!  Attacking Palin is the only reason the MSM has her on!  Wise up kiddo, they HATE Palin!  Once you accept that fact then these "interviews" take on a whole new light!

Google him.  He's a pop-culture icon whose name will be forgotten tomorrow (he's a reality TV star).

By the way, while you're googling, search "Palin North Korea" and "Obama 57 States" and see which returns more results.  You'll find 3x more results on the President compared to Palin.  Now who is more obsessed? ;)

So you must belive this is justified? To tax already taxed income? Taxes have already been paid on the estates. Real estate taxes, sales taxes and income taxes were paid by the persons/s that earned said estate.

And liberals want to tax them again, after they are dead?

So, when you die, why not just leave your estate to the goverment? After all, its fair aint it? They did let you use it while you were alive.
