Rush Limbaugh: Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson Try To Convince Blacks They're Still Slaves

By Noel Sheppard | January 07, 2013 | 19:28

As NewsBusters readers know, actors Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson have made some rather inflammatory comments of late.

On Monday, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said of the two stars currently featured in Quentin Tarantino's controversial film "Django Unchained," "[They] try to make the case that there's still slavery in this country" (video follows with transcript):

Boston Globe Critic Compares Tarantino's New 'House Negro' Character to Justice Thomas, Keyes, Cain, and Steele

By Tim Graham | December 29, 2012 | 13:55

One reason, I'm guessing, for still subscribing to The Boston Globe is to laugh at "self-loathing" black conservatives...even in Quentin Tarantino movie reviews. Globe film critic Wesley Morris is at is again. On NPR in May 2011, Morris hailed "The Fast and The Furious" movies as very "progressive" and "equal-opportunity shallow." When challenged on it, Morris shot darts instead at "The Blind Side."

In his Christmas Day review of the new movie "Django Unchained," Morris found "a hard mix of meticulous cartoonishness and unexpected power," especially in the "house Negro" Samuel L. Jackson, who apparently channels Clarence Thomas, Alan Keyes, Herman Cain, and Michael Steele:

Newsweek: What's Next for Michelle Obama, Our 'Superwoman' and 'Incredibly Popular' First Lady?

By Tim Graham | December 06, 2012 | 09:25

A  A

If you’re not one of the people in “Everyone” who loves Michelle Obama, you must not be following the collapse of Newsweek. In one of the magazine’s last print editions, Allison Samuels is asking “What's next for our incredibly popular first lady? Samuel L. Jackson and other super-fans weigh in.”

Jackson is in love: “Michelle is Superwoman. What can’t she do?...That’s why people love her. She can be on the Supreme Court and anywhere else she wants. She can be the president. She’s history and she’ll stay history because she is so amazingly smart and together.” Samuels continued in this syrupy vein:

Samuel L. Jackson Tells S.E. Cupp ‘You Don’t Want To F—k With Dick Cheney’

By Noel Sheppard | November 10, 2012 | 16:24

A war broke out on the set of HBO’s Real Time Friday when MSNBC’s sole conservative commentator S.E. Cupp had the nerve to say that Barack Obama’s foreign policy was no different than former President George W. Bush’s.

In the midst of the shouting, actor Samuel L. Jackson said to Cupp, “You don’t want to f—k with Dick Cheney" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Samuel L. Jackson's New Ad: 'Wake the F--k Up, Vote for Obama'

By Noel Sheppard | September 14, 2012 | 09:21

Lots of Hollywood's "finest" have come out in support of the current White House resident, but possibly none as strongly as Samuel L. Jackson.

According to the New York Post, the actor will be featured in a new pro-Obama ad beseeching voters with a one of his favorite vulgarities (severe vulgarity warning):

HuffPo: Samuel L. Jackson's 'I Voted for Barack Because He Was Black' a 'Surprising Confession'

By Noel Sheppard | February 12, 2012 | 19:38

For more than 24 hours, the internet has been abuzz with the New York Post's revelation that actor Samuel L. Jackson told Ebony magazine he only voted for Barack Obama in 2008 "because he was black."

For some reason, the folks at the Huffington Post thought this was a "surprising confession" (photo courtesy Getty):
