By Liz Thatcher | May 20, 2013 | 11:10

Former Secretary of Defense and CEO, Donald Rumsfeld has a brand new book focused on business, politics and more.

In “Rumsfeld’s Rules: Leadership Lessons in Business, Politics, War, and Life,” released on May 14, Rumsfeld expounded on capitalism, and why we need more people to defend it in our society. “I suppose if more business leaders defended capitalism, there might not be quite as many smiling photos with politicians,” he wrote.

S.E. Cupp On National Background Checks: ‘You Want To Be Able To Track Me’

By Jeffrey Meyer | May 18, 2013 | 23:59

A  A

MSNBC’s S.E. Cupp is used to being the only conservative on a show. Every day she co-hosts The Cycle where she spars with her three ultra-liberal co-hosts, so her appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher on May 18 was nothing new for Ms. Cupp.

Appearing on Friday night, S.E. confronted ultra-liberal host Bill Maher and his two liberal guests, documentary filmmaker Michael Moore and Andrew Ross Sorkin of The New York Times over her objection to a national gun registry, which she summed up as simply a means to “be able to track me.” [See video afer jump.]

By Noel Sheppard | May 12, 2013 | 12:05

A  A

Many conservatives were disgusted this year when "2016: Obama's America" didn't receive an Oscar nomination for best documentary.

Pity the Fool: Celebrate April 1st with 8 Anti-Capitalist Journalists and Entertainers

By Julia A. Seymour | April 01, 2013 | 10:14

A  A

Sometimes liberal bias goes so far it actually becomes absurd, like Roseanne Barr saying that she would bring back the guillotine in order to behead any rich people who wanted to keep more than $100 million of their own money. She set the bar (or the guillotine) higher than her $80 million net worth. But it wasn’t just extreme left-wing celebs like Roseanne and Michael Moore, news anchors and hosts have spewed anti-business, anti-wealth, or anti-capitalism nonsense too.

The Business and Media Institute hunted down some of the most outrageous anti-business, anti-wealth, or anti-capitalism comments by news and entertainment media people in the past year and came up with this list of eight individuals. After all, it is April Fools Day.

Michael Moore's Irrational Reasoning: White Gun Owners Racist, But Understandable They're Not Afraid Of White Neighbors

By Mark Finkelstein | March 22, 2013 | 21:46

A  A

Call it Michael Moore's Jesse Jackson moment . . . Jackson once famously said that when he walked down the street and heard footsteps behind him, he was relieved to turn around and find a white person behind him.

This evening, on Ed Schultz's soon-to-be-extinct weeknight MSNBC show, a histrionic Michael Moore accused white gun owners of racism . . . then proceeded to say it was reasonable for them not to be afraid of their white neighbors  . . . and admitted he felt more comfortable walking down the streets of Toronto than Detroit. Michael Moore for Pope

By Katie Yoder | March 12, 2013 | 12:37

Michael Moore Calls for Ban of Semiautomatic Guns

By Liz Thatcher | January 10, 2013 | 12:50

A  A

Oscar winning “documentary” film-maker Michael Moore is no stranger to activism. On Jan. 9, Moore told the AP that he was “heartbroken” that his 2002 pro-gun control documentary “Bowling for Columbine” had not moved the nation to make more strides toward gun control.

He continued by prescribing his “solution” that included gun bans and licensing. “The short term solution is we have to ban the assault weapons, ban the semiautomatic weapons, ban the magazines that can hold more than ten bullets. That's it. That should be the bottom line of what we need to start with," he argued.  “We are a violent people. We as Americans believe it’s OK to kill people,” he added.

By Matthew Balan | January 09, 2013 | 17:12

A  A

On Monday, far-left director Michael Moore went on an anti-Catholic bender at an awards presentation, and also targeted "those who would deify Reagan and Pope John Paul II" as somehow to blame for "the deaths of thousands of people...because of their bigotry."

The New York Post's Page Six on Wednesday spotlighted how the Occupy Wall Street-supporting filmmaker served as a presenter at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards. Moore gave the Best First Film award to fledgling director Armond White, who made a documentary about the radical activist group ACT UP.

Controversial liberal filmmaker Michael Moore said on Thursday that many Americans purchase guns because “we're a very frightened people” and stated that “fear is used to the point where everybody feels like they’ve got to have a gun in the house.”

Moore made the comments the day before his 10-year-old film, “Bowling for Columbine,” was to be aired on the liberal cable channel Current TV on Friday, one week after 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot and killed 20 adults and 6 children at the Shady Brook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., along with his mother and himself.

Bozell Column: The Polluted Oscar Documentary Pool

By Brent Bozell | December 08, 2012 | 08:57

A  A

The cabal that chooses the 15 nominees for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature has issued its 2013 selections. Why was the the top-grossing documentary of 2012 -- and the fourth most-successful documentary of all time – not on that expansive list?

Because it was “2016,” the film in which conservative author Dinesh D’Souza warns of a dark future for America if Barack Obama is re-elected. The film’s producer, Gerald Molen, who’s already won an Oscar for “Schindler’s List,” was scandalized. "The action confirms my opinion that the bias against anything from a conservative point of view is dead on arrival in Hollywood.”

Morgan gushed that "whichever side you're on, you cannot say that President Obama has not so far done an excellent job." That came after Moore took a shot at President Bush. [Video below the break. Audio here.]

Michael Moore Produces Incredibly Vile Campaign Video for MoveOn.org

By P.J. Gladnick | October 29, 2012 | 21:15

A  A

Michael Moore has produced a campaign video for MoveOn.org so vile that he has to be considered guilty of elderly abuse for having the senior citizens say the words that Moore & Co. wrote in the script. The video supposedly takes place at Rosebud Nursing Home and the script calls for some of the residents there to use the foulest of language to express their anger at what is described is "Republican voter suppression." What this video really represents is an incredible anger on the part of the Left and how they won't be able to accept the election result if Romney wins.

The video is below the fold but be aware that there is a very strong language warning. I will only partially spell out the words actually spoken in the video:

Tax-Funded Pacifica Radio Hosts Colorado Anti-Gun Activist Who Claims Opponents 'Offering to Rape Us'

By Tim Graham | July 20, 2012 | 12:44

In the first hours of a dreadful mass shooting, one might think it's a time to mourn the victims and wait for more information. That was not the plan on taxpayer-subsidized Pacifica Radio and its morning program "Democracy Now!" They brought on Colorado gun-control activist Mary Kershner, who wildly clamed that gun-rights activists are"offering to rape us" when they protest gun shows.

Co-host Juan Gonzalez insisted America is uniquely violent:

MSNBC Urges Michael Moore to Praise Roberts, Attack Those Who Believe 'Adam and Eve Rode on Dinosaurs'

By Tim Graham | June 29, 2012 | 14:45

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell brought on radical filmmaker Michael Moore to offer his “Last Word” of liberalism on Thursday night. Moore said “maybe Mr. Roberts is a man of conscience. And part of that conscience says that it would be immoral to upend this bill.” Moore still felt insurance companies should  be surgically removed and single-payer statismshould be installed: “we’re 65 years behind the rest of the Western industrialized world.”

But online, in their “Very Last Word,” MSNBC wanted Moore to repeat his charge that the country is being led backward by religious idiots who believe in the Biblical account of Creation:
