Comcast Devotes $1.5 Million to Ad Time for the Gay Left

Film director Brett Ratner will debut his new pro-gay "public service announcements" at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation’s Media Awards on March 16 in New York. A big television partner of this libertine-left cultural politics is once again Comcast, which will contribute "$1.5 million in national airtimes on its Xfinity TV cable systems, relayed The Hollywood Reporter. Comcast now owns a majority of NBC Universal stock, and will buy the rest of the company from General Electric this year.

"Our longstanding dedication to inclusion, respect and equality gives us pride to donate quality airtime to promote the core values we share with audiences every day,” said Charisse Lillie, vice president of community investment at Comcast and president of the Comcast Foundation.

Comcast has supported the GLAAD Media Awards for the past ten years and spread the word about GLAAD's Spirit Day by educating employees on the event, encouraging them to wear purple and "take a stand against bullying."
