Daily Kos on Mississippi: 'Suck It, Forced Birthers'
You've heard of "birthers." But at the Daily Kos, anyone who opposes abortion is a "forced birther." Tub-thumping abortion advocate Kaili Joy Gray is not someone you would call gracious in victory when the Personhood Amendment was defeated in Mississippi.
Her first reaction for all her Kosmonaut friends: "Suck it, forced birthers."
Despite a poll earlier this week showing Mississippi voters split on the Personhood Amendment, voters decided to reject "biological ignorance." So for now, pregnant women won't be cruising in the carpool lanes.
This is a stunning defeat for the forced birthers who were trying so desperately to strip women of their right to life-saving health care. But this victory for those who believe in women's rights—and science—is just the first step in fighting back against this extremism.
Gray also tweeted in triumph: "Every sperm is sacred, every sperm is great ... But truth, science and women's rights are a little more sacred after all."
Isn't calling something "sacred" a violation of church-state separation? Oh, and Kaili also had this classy retweet: "RT @tbogg Personhood amendment in MS going down in flames certainly shut @LilaGraceRose the f*** up. // Win win!"
Christians really bring out the F-bombs in Kaili, ahem, "Joy."
Gray objected earlier to the church-state separation violation that was somehow in this amendment:
Of course, the state has no business making such declarations—that we are made in the image of God—the law of the land. But hardcore believers, like proponents of the Personhood Amendment, seek to destroy the separation between church and state, and they see this amendment as another step in that direction. And of course it would make abortion, contraception and embryonic stem cell research a crime.
At Slate, David Plotz and his colleagues posed some semi-tongue-in-cheek questions about the meaning of Personhood for eggs: Can you drink at 20 years and three months? Can you collect Social Security at 64? Would a "dependent embryo" be tax deductible? Would sharing an ultrasound at Facebook be considered child pornography? How does this affect the census?
Pro-lifers can easily turn this around: abortion cheerleaders like Kaili Joy Gray thinks a born-alive baby is still a "fetus" that can be terminated despite an ability to survive outside the womb. Who has "personhood" and "science" issues then?
Earlier: Kaili Joy Gray asserts that pro-lifers are "terrorist, murdering scumbags"

Didn't only one democRAT win a state wide election? Voter ID passed. Limits on seizure of property, passed. And I understand in the legislature, a number of dems lost their jobs.

Yup, and they oppose hardcore believers like proponents of abortion for any reason, at any stage, even in mid-birth.

Do ANY of these people have a mother?
Who loves them?
Who, I dunno... talked to them about being a lady? Never mind a gracious winner?
Never mind respecting the rights of others to put an issue to ballot and bring it to a vote?
Let me help you, cupcake:
If you don't like MS reproductive laws THERE ARE 49 OTHERS to choose from. And don't give me this sob-song meme about 'not everybody who needs an abortion has money for one.'
The very same women of whom you speak seem to possess the wherewithal both fiscally and intellectually to get government services to HAVE babies - THEY CAN MANAGE *NOT* HAVING ONE.

I'd bet that a decade or so ago that most women like this DID have a loving Mother at home. I think we've now reached the point where leftovers from the 60s jamming their propaganda into school kids has driven out the decency that we used to expect from adults in public discourse.
That said, I've never hit a woman in my 54 years of life. I'd consider an exception in her case.
Hazzah!

Too true!
And you know WHY mothers HAVE to work outside the home?
The answer is in this little thought-experiement:
What if you got to KEEP 90% of what you earn? (Or even 91% if we are to insinuate 999 into this - quite apart from the propaganda about the 9% sales tax)
Don't you think WAY more moms would stay home? OF COURSE THEY WOULD. Some wouldn't. BUT TONS MORE WOULD.
And we'd ALL be better off for it. As a friend of mine once said, "The momma raccoon doesn't give her baby raccoons to the raccoon next door to raise."
That's not to say that other-raised children can't turn out GREAT, but MOM +/or Dad, is BEST.
Gracious winner, respecting

Gracious winner, respecting the rights of others? How about, just taking issues like this with appropriate seriousness, no matter what your point of view is. I mean, if they really thought that this was about theocratic fascism and taking away people's freedom you'd think they would be talking about the wisdom of the people and so on and so on, rather than as 5 year olds in a school yard fight.
It makes them sound like they need emotional help.
And from their comments, it makes them sound they they care less about women's freedom and more about the fact that they think they're more intelligent than their opponents.

Liberals exploit the exception to create and sustain the rule. Too bad they don't think about the flip side. What if one of the millions of babies aborted were the next Kermit Gosling, or George Tiller? Humanitarians and contributors to society both and a golden opportunity for the cause (what's a good word, ah, got it) terminated.

...really being 'biologically' ignorant here.
What these 'pro-choice' baby butchers seem to be completely unaware (or in denial) of is the SCIENTIFIC FACT that brain function begins after about 2-3 months. Ask any expert in neurology and they'll tell you the same.
Scientifically, after that point the unborn baby IS a living human being in every sense. Laws that say otherwise are UNSCIENTIFIC.
Progressives seem to be completely averse to facts and logic. Apparently, reality has a conservative bias.
