Do you ever wonder how morally upside-down a liberal can be when they can furrow their brow and decry the waterboarding of the man who plotted the September 11 mass murder, but find it funny when a conservative gets maimed? Via Radio Equalizer, we learn that radical MSNBC host Rachel Maddow thinks it’s funny that an anti-Obama protester had his pinky bit off at a health care event. The screen behind her attempted humor (in a reference for the older audience members, to NBC's Laugh-In): "Fickle Finger of Fight."
Despite earlier reports to the contrary today, the piece of the man`s finger that got bit off could not be reattached. So -- Well, luckily to the extent that word can ever apply to a person who's just had their finger bitten off, luckily, the bitee, despite proclaiming his belief that health care reform is part of a giant scheme for the government to 'grab what's left of our freedom away from us,' luckily that guy, the bitee, is covered by Medicare! The great, big, government-run, single-payer health care system in this country that removes the threat of bankruptcy pursuant to injury for Americans age 65 and older.
How bad would the maimed man's injuries have to be for Maddow to think it wasn't funny?

People should check that out before letting liberals argue that everyone loves medicare? Do the vets love their healthcare?
Whether it was medicare or his private insurance that paid for the treatment is suppose to be 100% private and confidential.

Most insureds do not understand how this works and consequently out price themselves or ignore coverage. No differently than insuring one's roof, health care is a question of insuring risk. If time was not a factor in this case, maybe this individual could have reattached for a few thousand dollars with a cost effective private policy.

Torture: transient pain, not permanent damage. Bending a finger back, twisting an arm.
Maim: permanent damage, but often can heal. Broken bones, blinding someone, etc.
Mutilate: permanent damage, never heals, permanently disfiguring. Cutting off a hand or leg, removing an eye. This is actually what happened to the conservative protester.
Kill: obvious.
So, let's look at a modern liberal version of this hierarchy, in order of severity (again, from least to most): Kill, Mutilate, Maim, Torture, Scare
Kill: Desirable. Late term abortion
Mutilate: Ok, as long as it's inflicted on a conservative (current story).
Maim: Racist comment. "That white republican said to Obama, 'his maim was a good woman.'"
Torture: Any act against a muslim relating to the quran, made up or otherwise. A guard flushing a muslims quran down the toilet.
Scare: Any act that would frighten a terrorist into talking. Waterboarding, pushing against soft walls, yelling. By far the worst possible thing that any liberal can imagine.
Note, liberals often use the terms Torture and Scare synonamously, as emotionally driven individuals, they cannot differentiate mental anguish from physical pain.

It was just about the funniest thing I heard since "Don't Tase Me, Bro"! And no offense, as inane as Maddow can be at most times, I kind of chuckled over that headline because, well, I think the man kind of deserved it. Anybody who acts like a moron and doesn't try to read the healthcare bill kind of deserves what they wish for, which is the leeching off of them from any healthcare company.
If you don't think that's funny, then I'd hate to see the reaction you'd have from a single episode of Robot Chicken on Adult Swim. And I thought it was only Democrats who didn't have a sense of humor.
