This is a little old, but still strong brew: Katie Couric's TV commentary attacking the town-hall protesters for "disturbing attitudes and emotions," emitting the sound of "fear and frankly ignorance."
At a town meeting hosted by Senator Arlen Specter, a Pennsylvania resident stood up to say that the health care debate has "awakened the sleeping giant." Not exactly.
What's it's done, it seems, is stirred a hornets nest, and uncovered disturbing attitudes and emotions that have nothing to do with policy.
Are we really still debating health care when a man brings a handgun to a church where the President is speaking?How does a swastika spray-painted on a Congressman's office further a discussion about Medicare?
These are tough and challenging times and lots of people are scared about their jobs and the economy. But we can't let fear and frankly ignorance -- drown out the serious debate that needs to take place -- about an issue that affects the lives of millions of people.
Can anyone tell the difference between a Couric commentary and a high school student newspaper editorial? A cheerleader could write this gunk with both pom-poms still in her hands.
She would never take one or two wild-eyed people at a left-wing protest and suggest the whole protest movement is full of "disturbing attitudes."

This is a very well planned, well coordinated and well financed operation with elements that were set in motion years ago. The positions of FCC Diversity Czar and "Green Jobs" committments were symbolically inserted into bills during the Bush administration but were not funded at the time. They sat like ticking timebombs waiting for the right moment. It is even looking more and more like Dear Leader is where he is because he fits the suit and someone else is pulling the leavers of power.
Conservatives are finally waking up to the fact that we are in a war and I hope we're not too late. We are in a street fight for the Constitution and we need to stop waiting for the 16 ounce gloves and referree to show up.

Alinsky had been teaching a class concerning how a people should protest a government action etc. The times being what they were. While conducting this class Professor Alinsky asked his class what they intended to do while Pres. Nixon was there. Their response was to form a group and scream and shout at Nixon for going into Cambodia. Alinsky shook his head and told them they would be better off showing up dressed as Klu Klux Klanners and shouting support for Pres Nixon going into Cambodia.
Now this will get you to thinking about how these sneaky bastards work. This is something to cogitate on.
