To see how public radio talk-show hosts in every college town pick up Bill Moyers talking points off PBS like manna falling from Manhattan, there’s this paragraph that appeared on ProfNet, a radio-booking service for political experts, from a Jim Lynch of WUSB 90.1 in Stony Brook, New York:
I'm seeking interviews with individuals with expertise on the increasing call of hate radio and television programs to "kill liberals" -- from the Kansas killing of a physician performing legal women's health services, to the church killings at liberal UU congregation in Tennessee, to the threats against Michael Moore and others. This is for "Everything is Broken," which airs Tuesdays at 1 p.m. This will be conversational and non-confrontational; no call-ins from listeners. Must be available for 30+ minutes. Contact: Jim Lynch [e-mail.]
Notice the taxpayer-subsidized broadcasting modus operandi: we’ll be charging conservatives with killing liberals, but it will be "non-confrontational; no call-ins from listeners." That’s also just like Moyers. How much does the Jim-Lynching of conservatives match the Moyers talking points of Friday night? Let’s count the ways. 1. Conservatives Killing "Women’s Health" Providers.
MOYERS: In demonizing George Tiller, Randall Terry had help from the star of Fox News, Bill O'Reilly. For years, O'Reilly denounced the doctor as someone who would "kill a baby...for no reason whatsoever other than the mother has a pain in her foot." That wasn't true, of course, but 24 times altogether, O'Reilly denounced Tiller as a 'baby killer.'
2. Conservatives Killing Unitarians in Tennessee.
MOYERS: As news spread of Dr. Tiller's assassination, and more details emerged, I thought back to what happened in Knoxville, Tennessee, on July 27, 2008, one year ago this coming Monday.
3. Talk of Killing Michael Moore.
GLENN BECK, soundbite used by Moyers:I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out of him. Is this wrong?
As he borrowed this 2005 soundbite from Hillary Incorporated, Moyers left out what Beck said next, which drained some of the "kill liberals" vibe:
I stopped wearing my What Would Jesus -- band -- Do, and I've lost all sense of right and wrong now. I used to be able to say, "Yeah, I'd kill Michael Moore," and then I'd see the little band: What Would Jesus Do? And then I'd realize, "Oh, you wouldn't kill Michael Moore. Or at least you wouldn't choke him to death." And you know, well, I'm not sure.
Radio hosts shouldn't even joke about killing liberals, since it risks them being compared to serious policy analysts like Alec Baldwin ("I gather up the body of the world’s most notorious terrorist and hurl it over the balcony. Then, in the final stroke of luck, bin Laden lands on Dick Cheney." ).

Sounds like liberals are
July 29, 2009 - 10:50 ET by dscottSounds like liberals are ginning up the idea that conservatives are going to take the country back by force. We don't need to, come the 2010 elections liberals will have made themselves so odious to the independents and moderates, that the GOP will take back the House and thus block anymore expansion of government.
This fits in their narrative foisted by the DHS report on conservatives being potentially violent. So is this conspiracy to either incite violence or to lay the ground work for arresting conservatives and anyone else who dissents against the liberal PC line as a domestic terrorist? They already proclaim us as racists for being against the agenda, so is it a stretch?
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, starving the poor one gallon of ethanol at a time. Fill your tank with E85 and cull a village.
Liberals are just trying to
July 29, 2009 - 12:54 ET by NonArabOmarLiberals are just trying to drum up some Nazi tactics to silence their political rivals. They think like a bunch of mean girls. They'd like to promote the idea amongst their kind that the right is out to get them so they may down the road label them as "enemies of the state."
Many liberals would rather round up and stick conservatives in gas chambers that use waterboarding on a suspected terrorist. They want to have their way with this country and anyone who gets in their way should be put down.
Just look at how they act when someone questions anything about Obama. They fling out the race card and label his opponents fringe lunatics, racists, and domestic terrorists.
They like to victimize themselves to justify their unethical behavior. They are the type that would complain about having the government tapping their phone while stealing your mail, driving off with your car, and using your credit cards.
Here come the brownshirts
July 29, 2009 - 11:31 ET by slickwillie2001Are they trying to come up with a justification for the Bamster's Brownshirts? To protect the citizens from those nasty conservatives?

July 29, 2009 - 11:59 ET by G. MaySo when Marvel Comics lets The Punisher walk into the Oval Office and threaten President Bush's life, or raging leftist lunatics use "civil disobedience" to justify their violent tendencies on a routine basis, it's just not newsworthy.
What was that book about assassinating President Bush that the NYT gave rave reviews about?
Remember Sandra Bernhard

I remember Julianne Malveaux hoping that Clarence Thomas dies of heart disease.
Didn't Rhandi Rhodes talk about some conservative being killed?
Alec Baldwin, the one who got in a purple-faced rage on Conan O'Brien about stoning Republicans to death.
Liberals never commit crimes
July 29, 2009 - 12:11 ET by DontFeedTheTrollsOf course, we all know that no liberal leaning, leftist 'African-American', Obama supporter would ever call for the murder of an American citizen. And we also know that if they did, NPR and PBS would immediately do a hard hitting expose.

Just remember left wingers
July 29, 2009 - 12:19 ET by Carl KolchakJust remember left wingers are pure and noble and would never advocate killing those who don't share their left wing views.
From the link below in regards to Che.
"Guevara might have been enamored of his own death, but he was much more enamored of other people’s deaths. In April 1967, speaking from experience, he summed up his homicidal idea of justice in his “Message to the Tricontinental”: “hatred as an element of struggle; unbending hatred for the enemy, which pushes a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine.”

July 29, 2009 - 13:37 ET by Carl KolchakYes, and it's probably just a matter of time before there are large Che murals at the center of each city, and young school children will be required to sing songs of praise to Che. Then after that, there will probably be some Ho Chi Minh holidays that the children will have to participate in and sing songs of praise to both Che and Ho Chi Minh.

This guy is the worst kind of Liberal. Sorry, amend that.
July 29, 2009 - 12:58 ET by jawebster1This guy is a typical Liberal. Nothing he says makes sense unless you realize he is grounded in hatred for all things Conservative. Rotten tomatoes to PBS for putting up with his low ratings and for keeping him on the air. What a waste of a good hour that we the taxpayers are forced to pay for. Jim Webster
Bill Moyers is a hypocrite!!!
July 29, 2009 - 13:00 ET by Roscoe MendagoIf there's a price to be paid for wishing ill on flippin liberals, well, I guess I will pay it. There is nothing I haven't "thought" of, I've got scenarios constantly appearing, albeit none I would seriously choose to implement, just dreaming. Hasn't everyone thought of something capricious when hearing rants by Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Barney Frank, Alec Baldwin, all the usual leftist suspects. Those leftist/Marxists that are elected are in those districts that provide them unlimited job security, with not a chance of their electoral elimination, hence those capricious thoughts of justice. Think about Al Franken, is he deserving of election to such an honor, and how it was won was imagination provocation gone wild.
Such a confession, although it's a confession of what I've thought, where as a good number of liberals actually voice their thoughts for all to hear. Bill Maher is a choice example, an Exemplar of "No Fear" to the consequences. There's a ton of'em and Bill Moyers is a "World Class" hypocrite.
Moyers has mentioned some conservatives he feels talk of killing worthless liberals. Hmmm, I've been listening to Rush for years, since Sacramento, and have never heard the most listened to radio host ever mention doing away with his political enemies, outside of their political defeat. Nor have any of the other conservative voices I listen to talk of killing their opponents, never have heard it.

He gave us LBJ by scaring people into believing Goldwater would start a nuclear war. Then LBJ escalated the Vietnam war.
Moyers should have been drummed out of public life 40 years ago.
