It would not be difficult to tell the world, concerning Iran and North Korea, that we in the United States seek to negotiate peace with anyone. However, we have to set a realistic assumption about how much we trust the words of those whom we negotiate with. If we try to establish a common commitment with a nation, we need to evaluate whether their word can be trusted.

When a nation deceives its own people, we expect them to offer us no surer word. If they lie to their own people, they will lie to us.

When we see Iran lie to their own people, and murder them if they resent being lied to, we know what we're dealing with. We adjust our negotiations accordingly.

I find it hard to believe that only 17 deaths have been reported, which seems strange, since hundreds of thousands are in the streets, with bullets flying into the crowd and bombs going off, I am wondering if the toll is not in the hundreds, if this does happen to come to light, Obamma is really going to be in the shit to put it mildly.

Obama is full square behind the mullahs. He is a good little dhimmi. The proof of his submission is his bowing to the murderous Saudi king. The Sunni's and Shiite's may be rivals, but they are both still muslims. And submitting to Islam is what Barack is concerned with. His supporters loose sight of that fact because they are blinded by their racism for him.

You know the irony of Obama soft pedaling the deaths of non violent protesters marching in Iran is they attempting to register their dissent and disagreement with how the Mullahs are running the country.  The response of the Mullahs is to have them beaten and killed.  Now, how can Obama claim he can negotiate with them when he has nothing to offer them in exchange as the current protesters? I.E. either force or actively undermining Iran's government.  The fact that Obama has soft pedaled the unrest in Iran in order to preserve a negotiating position over nuclear arms tells the Mullahs how weak Obama's position is and his own unwillingness to back up what he says.  The Mullahs know very well the CIA under Obama is NOT going to make any attempts at regime change.  

In fact, from a negotiating standpoint, you want to convince your opponent into believing their position is so weak as to take the best offer on the table instead of losing a better deal than standing pat.  What Obama has done is to tell the Mullahs, by standing pat they will get a better deal - no US action when they have a nuke in their possession.  

Kissinger has messed up, we are not dealing with a country of almost our equal like Russia or China, we are dealing with a tinpot dictator run state who could very easily be drop kicked into the stone age by taking out their one and only gasoline refinery.  This is a geopolitical cold war where we are facing off against Iran who is acknowledged to be the number one financier of terrorism throughout the world.

Obama sacrificed supporting the liberty of the Iranian people for a negotiating position.  Talk about short sighted.

I have friends whose families are being killed there in IRAN by the brutes that answer to their religious leader.  This is a modern day  Hitler's Germany in the mideast!

The President of the Unites States is more than just a title.  The person who holds that office is the leader of the FREE WORLD in more ways than one but the title and position speaks more than words to the disenfranchised who don't know of our laws, they just know our standing in the world....LIBERTY for ALL and FREEDOM!

Know your real position.  Send the right message and make it strong!
