HuffPo Finally Sees Downside to Infidelity
HuffPo has produced a slew of articles citing the positive effects of cheating, and even introduced a divorce page before creating a marriage page.
It was probably considered a gutsy editorial decision around the offices of the Huffington Post. The house organ for the Hollywood left finally acknowledged a benefit to monogamy: not dying.
But on May 23rd, the Huffington Post wrote an article titled, “Cheating Study: Men Who Cheat Are More Likely To Have Heart Attacks.” The study in question showed that men are more likely to experience heart failure when engaging in extramarital sex, as opposed to having sex with a spouse in a familiar environment.
The study in January 2012 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention “analyzed autopsy reports of 5,559 people who died abruptly from heart complications and found that 75 percent of those who died during sex were engaging in extramarital sex.”
Still, HuffPo couldn't resist one last dig at fidelity. At bottom of the article is a link to another story that boldly proclaimed, “Happy Kids Divorce More.”

After losing his bid for a US Senate seat in California, rich guy Michael Huffington -- from whom Arianna got a bunch of $$$ -- came out of the closet, and they were divorced shortly thereafter. It was about that time she went from being an outspoken conservative to being an outspoken liberal.
