Homosexuals Don't Want You to Use the Term Homosexual Because It's Too Negative

By Stacy L. Harp | April 06, 2007 | 01:32

Language does matter when it comes to using terms. Take the word "gay" versus the word "homosexual". Not too long ago no one had an issue with referring to a homosexual person as a "homosexual". The reason why is because the term homosexual means someone who is attracted to another of the same gender sexually.

Well, now the politically correct word police are saying that we should not use the word "homosexual' because it connotates negative images of homosexuals.

First, let's look at one online dictionary says about the term:

adjective - homosexual 1. sexually attracted to members of your own sex [ant: bisexual, heterosexual] noun 1. someone who practices homosexuality; having a sexual attraction to persons of the same sex

Yes, a clear and concise definition of the word homosexual that accurately defines people who are homosexuals.

Media Distorts Mood of Values Voters

By Stacy L. Harp | September 25, 2006 | 21:12

Have you heard that conservatives and Christians involved as part of the radical extreme Christian Right who met over the weekend in Washington DC for the Family Research Council’s Action meeting aptly called The Washington Briefing are in a dire state of distress, depression, despair and despondency? I was shocked as I read through tons of articles from some of the 100 media who attended the briefing.

MSNBC states that the speakers of the briefing, “… expressed scepticism [sic] about what their engagement in 2004 had delivered.” Since Tony Perkins stated that, “I don't think enthusiasm is as strong as 2004," that means, according to the liberals, that the world has crashed and burned for conservatives who voted for President Bush.

Nebraska Judge Denies Jail to Sex Offender Because He's Too Short

By Stacy L. Harp | May 26, 2006 | 11:20

In an astounding ruling by a Nebraska District Judge Kristine Cecava,  a child sex offender is given ten years of probation instead of jail time.  The reason - the judge believes that the child sex offender is too short for prison!

Convicted child sex offender, Richard W. Thompson, is reported to be only a 5-foot-1 man and the judge fears that he will not be safe in prison.

This is just another outrageous example of a judge who has lost all common sense.  Did the judge consider the height of the child who Richard W. Thompson violated sexually?  Apparently, not!

Instead, once again, an innocent child of sexual abuse is denied true justice because a demented judge has more regard for the safety of the predator.

District Judge Kristine Cecava also decided that Thompson would only be electronically monitored for the first four months of his ten year probation, and she  told the child predator  to stay away from using pornography and contacting under age children.

'60 Minutes' Quotes Reprimanded Sexuality Scientist

By Stacy L. Harp | March 13, 2006 | 16:06

It should come as no surprise to anyone who follows "60 Minutes" on a regular basis that the reporters have a problem with presenting facts, or at least truth in disclosure concerning the “experts” they bring on to give us the facts.

Case in point, Lesley Stahl. In the March 12, 2006 episode of "60 Minutes" she presented a piece about science and sexual orientation. However, what Stahl conveniently left out of her piece and failed to tell the viewing public, is that her “expert” J. Michael Bailey has been exposed and charged for “research misconduct” concerning the research he is best known for on transexuality. Turns out Bailey received many complaints from the transsexual women he interviewed for his book The Man Who Would Be Queen: The Science of Gender Bending and Transsexualism, saying that they didn’t know he was using them as research subjects and that he distorted versions of their case histories that appeared in his book.

Prisons and Religion: "Nightline" Ignores Colson, Highlights Liberal Barry Lynn

By Stacy L. Harp | January 28, 2006 | 18:24

In a recent Nightline episode that aired January 27, 2006, Vicki Mabrey presented what some call a controversial program  happening within the prison walls of Lawtey Correctional Institution.  The issue at hand – faith in prisons, and not just Christianity.

Mabrey contends that even though officials cite success with their program it isn’t really sufficient because there aren’t any scientific studies that prove that these types of faith based programs help lower disciplinary actions or lower recidivism rates.

Kerry Calls Abramoff Scandal A Republican Scandal on This Week

By Stacy L. Harp | January 22, 2006 | 19:33

CLICK TO VIEW VIDEO - RUNNING TIME 1 1/2 MIN

John Kerry bloviates about how he sees the current Bush administration calling the Administration "incompetent" on This Week with George Stephanopoulos.

George Stephanopoulos: Let's talk about another issue you raised. Jack Abramoff. They say Democrats are implicated in this as well and point to the fact your 2004 campaign got about $100,000 from what they call Abramoff affiliated lobbying groups. How do you respond?

John Kerry: I respond that's another one of their swift boat tactics where they try to throw up the mud and stick it and I'm going to stick it right back at them. >I've never met Abramoff. I never had a dime from him come to me and I won't stand for them suggesting just because someone somewhere in the country gave my campaign some money because they thought we could move the country in a better direction without being held up the way Abramoff holds them up that we somehow are implicated. This is a republican scandal.

CNN Dismisses Bill Clinton's Political Gaffes While Highlighting Mostly Republicans

By Stacy L. Harp | January 17, 2006 | 19:34

Earlier today on The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, contributing correspondent Bruce Morton hosted a  list of "political  gaffes." Noticeably missing from the list was former President Clinton and VP Al Gore, as well as Al Sharpton and a long list of other Democrats.

While CNN set up the piece with the latest outlandish comments from Hillary Clinton and Mayor Nagin, I do find it telling that they picked on Pat Robertson while they had only a millisecond of the Rev. Jesse Jackson.

Highlighted gaffes included: Republican Trent Lott on Thurmond, Bush Sr. - No New Taxes, Rev.  Pat Robertson, Jesse Jackson calling Jews hymies, former VP Dan Quayle on Murphy Brown, and James Watt, former Secretary of Interior under Reagan.

Feinstein: "Alito Qualified" - "I Vote No"

By Stacy L. Harp | January 16, 2006 | 12:13

Yesterday on Face the Nation Bob Schieffer asked Dianne Feinstein if she would support a filibuster. Despite the fact that she said Alito was "qualified", Feinstein has allowed her politics to dictate a "no vote" for Alito as she said that there most likely wouldn't be a filibuster.

Liberal Media Pounces on Pat Robertson For Israel Remarks on 700 Club Today

By Stacy L. Harp | January 05, 2006 | 17:56

Here we go again, the liberal media leftist elite have nothing better to do with their time than to attack Pat Robertson again.  This time they are taking issue with  Robertson's  comments regarding Ariel Sharon's health and how Sharon has given away part of the holy land for "peace".

"God considers this land to be his," Robertson said on his TV program "The 700 Club." "You read the Bible and he says `This is my land,' and for any prime minister of Israel who decides he is going to carve it up and give it away, God says, `No, this is mine."'

Media Matters for America, an extreme left group, has placed the offending video on their website, and  the Anti-Defamation League is outraged at the comments as stated on their website.

MSM Ignores Chaplain's Hunger Strike for Religious Freedom

By Stacy L. Harp | December 28, 2005 | 22:09

Did you know that a brave Navy Chaplain by the name of Gordon Klingenschmitt has been on a fast since December 20th?  Probably not because the coverage in the mainstream media has been very limited, if not at all.   An examination of the websites of ABC News, CBS News, and NBC News all come up with nothing.  Cable news has also barely covered this story.  Fox News has one short story, MSNBC’s Tucker Carlson had Klingenschmitt on as a guest, while CNN has completely ignored the story.

However, this story is one that needs to be shouted from the rooftops because if you’re a Christian and you believe in praying in the name of Jesus, and you believe that those military chaplains who are Christians have the right to pray in the name of Jesus, then you need to be aware of the blatant hostility and intolerance going on in the United States Navy.

Barbara Walters Presses Christian As "Judgmental," But Not Islamic Terrorist

By Stacy L. Harp | December 21, 2005 | 12:12

Last night ABC presented a Barbara Walters special called Heaven : Where is it? How Do You Get There? and the show didn't really answer these questions, but it did raise one very important one for this viewer. Why did Walters pass judgement on evangelical pastor Ted Haggard when he proclaimed boldly that Jesus was the only way to heaven, but not the Muslim, failed homicide bomber when he said that Muslims were the only ones going to paradise?

Walters questioning of Haggard:

W: Okay. If a person does not accept Jesus Christ as his savior, does he go to Hell?

H: Yes.

W: But what if the god is not Jesus Christ? What if it's a different god? Do they go to Hell?

LA Times Columnist Joel Stein Insults Christians While Approving of Christmas

By Stacy L. Harp | December 06, 2005 | 17:01

LA Times columnist Joel Stein writes a column called Oy to the World where he ultimately says that he thinks there isn’t a war on Christmas . I find this ironic and also insulting as a Christian because all throughout his commentary he disparages Christians and what we believe.

To begin with he states in no uncertain terms that “no one outside the media is at all interested” in this supposed war on Christmas. He then cites John Gibson’s new book, which he admits not reading, "The War on Christmas: How the Liberal Plot to Ban the Sacred Christian Holiday Is Worse Than You Thought," supposedly started the debate about this topic, and then insults the title by asking, “Seriously, the guy couldn't even afford an editor for the title?” What’s the point of that? And please explain to me why the book has done so well if no one is interested in the issue.

AP Negatively Characterizes Dr. Adrian Rogers After His Death

By Stacy L. Harp | November 15, 2005 | 14:10

This morning while some in the mainstream media continued their attacks on Pat Robertson and conservatives the Associated Press joined in by characterizing the death of Dr. Adrian Rogers, one of the most loved and influential pastors in America, as one who led the “conservative takeover of the faith.”

The Associated Press also focused on what they (the media and liberals) see as a negative influence from Dr. Adrian Roger's life.

Media Ignores Family Research Council Invasion by AIDS Activists

By Stacy L. Harp | November 08, 2005 | 17:27

Remember how the mainstream media was so quick to jump all over the story when Pat Robertson called for the assassination of President Hugo Chavez? How could anyone forget that, after all it was front page news for almost a week.

Yet when AIDS activists invade the Family Research Council yesterday, Monday, November 7, the mainstream media is totally silent on the event, with the exception of one small story from the Associated Press.

The Associated Press reported that a dozen AIDS activists were arrested after invading a Christian organization's Washington headquarters and chaining themselves to objects in the lobby."

NY Times Not Sure Who Attacked Four Christian Girls

By Stacy L. Harp | October 31, 2005 | 16:25

Last week four Christian Indonesian girls who were on their way to their Christian high school were attacked by hooded attackers who successfully beheaded three of the girls. However, what most people would consider an outrage, The Washington Post and the the LA Times doesn't even consider newsworthy.

The Washington Post spent most of their ink dealing with the bird flu epidemic, and the LA Times gives this tragic story a two sentence blurb and doesn't even mention that the girls were Christians, thus implying the persecution of Christians isn't important.

No Tolerance for Christian Students Viewpoints on Pennsylvania Campus

By Stacy L. Harp | October 12, 2005 | 20:59

Last week Time Magazine’s cover story was called The Battle Over Gay Teens and I wrote an article discussing the bias from the writer of the article and also cited examples of where content was intentionally ignored.

Today I read an article found on The Patriot News website called Gays Win Support On Campus and the article mentions, as its main support, the Time magazine article from last week.

Time Magazine: The Battle With the Facts Over Gay Teens in America

By Stacy L. Harp | October 06, 2005 | 13:03

Time Magazine’s cover story for this week is called The Battle Over Gay Teens, however when one takes a few moments to examine the contents of this verbose six-page article the author, John Cloud, really is talking about the promotion and acceptance of gay teens in America. The unbelievable bias for the promotion of gay teens is absolutely amazing despite the fact that Cloud attempts to cite a few conservative or Christian viewpoints.

Here are a few blatant examples of bias that Cloud cites…

NY Times Martel Criticizes Celebrity Power in NBC's Three Wishes While Blasting the Religious

By Stacy L. Harp | September 28, 2005 | 18:28

A few days ago New York Times writer Ned Martel wrote an article called Manna from Hollywood: Charity Begins on TV about NBC’s new Friday night television show Three Wishes hosted by Grammy award winning singer Amy Grant

As I began to read Martel’s critique of the show I was amazed to see that Martel took issue with a show that was designed to help people. To begin with Martel begins by characterizing the whole idea of the show and how it is presented as a “traveling ministry, with revival tents pitched in a different small town every week”, thereby insulting any and everyone who has ever attended a revival meeting of some sort.

MSM Silent on Planned Parenthood Golden Gate Violent Depiction Towards Pro-Lifers

By Stacy L. Harp | August 12, 2005 | 00:14

Have you heard about the Planned Parenthood Golden Gate pro-violence video that depicts violence towards pro-lifers and anyone who doesn’t agree with the agenda of Planned Parenthood?

If you’re response is no, then the reason why is because the mainstream media has decided to not pursue the issue because it’s not about intolerance or hatred towards them. And when you consider the majority of people who work in the MSM are pro-choice, is it any wonder that they would want to expose the hatred and bias of one of their pet organizations Planned Parenthood.
