At about 8:05am ET this morning, MRC President Brent Bozell, publisher of NewsBusters, appeared on Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" to discuss the networks' slavish coverage of Barack Obama and his campaign for President.
As Mr. Bozell says himself in the video (Windows Media), the Big Three (NBC, ABC and CBS) aren't delivering news stories so much as they are issuing Obama campaign press releases, save for the fact that the campaign itself would be too embarrassed to engage in this kind of overwrought hyperbole.
Mr. Bozell expounds on the glowing coverage of Barack Obama, and juxtaposes it with the now vicious reporting on his opponent John McCain, and goes on to predict how the two Party conventions will be covered.

July 3, 2008 - 13:13 ET by Captain RepusRegardless of the MSM getting glassy-eyed, breathing hard and tingling sensations running up their groin over the politically correct Jesus in brown, he will not be elected President.
Regardless of the total incompenence of John Keating5 McCain in campaigning, inability to motivate even his own mother, whining voice and deer-in-the-headlight face, moronic grin every time he thinks he says something funny, he will be elected President unless he forgets where the convention is being held.
No matter what, when Joe six-pack goes in the voting box and has to punch for either a socialist, inexperienced, angry black man or a semi-senile guy who drove airplanes a half-century ago, McCain will prevail. Either way our country will spiral into something I don't look forward to.
At least with McCain we will have a first lady who has some class instead of an angry black woman who isn't too crazy about our country.

July 3, 2008 - 13:30 ET by cvgbuckeyeCaptain; Up until about a month ago, I agreed with you but now I am fearing the worst. Consider the following:
1. 99% of minorities will vote for Barack Hussein Osama
2. 60 % of women (women's suffrage was a huge mistake) will also vote for Barack Hussein Osama for a combination of their usual shallowness: (A). They fancy that he is good-looking. (B). He is slick talking. (C). He is "such a nice man". (D). He promises to give them everything free. (E). Other various and sundry shallow women's reasons.
3. 60 % of young voters will vote for Barack Hussein Osama because the MSM knows that they can convince them that he is "cool" and their political knowledge and reasoning is about as shallow on a par with the afforementioned 60 % of women.
4. Every "White Guilt Liberal" will vote for Barack Hussein Osama and there are a lot more of them than you think.
5. All of the people akin to those in San Fransicko will vote for Barack Hussein Osama.
6. Miscellaneous idiots will vote for Barack Hussein Osama
BOTTOM LINE
There are not enough of the rest of us left
Maybe, but..........
July 3, 2008 - 13:40 ET by Captain RepusFortunately, most of the idiots, excuse me, citizens you refer to are herded into those states that will always vote democrat anyway, and enough states remain with clear thinking rednecks like me can still control the election.
As far as I am concerned, I hope that as the convention approaches enough Republicans will rise up in protest to somehow force the delegates to revolt and force the party to dump McCain and select Romney to run. I don't know if this is even remotely possible but if enough outraged Republicans demand it it might be possible.
In my opinion McCain is an even weaker candidate than Dole was in '96. He isn't even capable of sitting next to a dog hawking penis pills.

July 3, 2008 - 13:43 ET by goldbarGreat points, all!
Having Cindy McCain as first lady would truly be a dream come true. She is HOT! Unfortunately, her husband is a liberal and although he gives us the big plus of staying in Iraq for 100 years, he also supports the Mexicans continuing invasion of the United States.
This is why I would encourage everyone here to vote for Bob Barr, who is a TRUE conservative.
Be really careful on this
July 3, 2008 - 14:02 ET by Captain RepusBe really careful on this one. Barr used to be what you say but has since gone over the edge. Look closely at what he has become in the past few years.
P.S. yes, she is extremely HOT. Too bad all women can't enter middle-age like she has.

July 3, 2008 - 14:09 ET by goldbar"The current platform of the Libertarian Party paints a bright and accurate picture
regarding the issue of immigration: "Our borders are currently neither open, closed,
nor secure. This situation restricts the labor pool, encouraging employers to hire
undocumented workers, while leaving those workers neither subject to nor
protected by the law. A completely open border allows foreign criminals, carriers
of communicable diseases, terrorists and other potential threats to enter the
country unchecked. Pandering politicians guarantee access to public services for
undocumented aliens, to the detriment of those who would enter to work
productively, and increasing the burden on taxpayers."

Captain and Goldbar
July 3, 2008 - 14:17 ET by cvgbuckeyeAll good points BUUUUUT: We all know that we are stuck with McCain, Captain AND you are right that we are in another Bob Dole situation.
Goldbar, my man, a vote for Bob Barr is a vote for Osama, I fear.
What we must do is AT ALL COSTS try to avoid dem control of the executive branch, both houses and THEREFORE the supreme court in about 3 years.
We have got to hold our noses and somehow avoid the Osama Syndrome, get McCain in the White House and then stand all over him to bulldoze congress into accomplishing self-reliant energy efficiency over the next 4 years. This is the most critical issue this nation has faced since WW II.
It can be done. This is a great country. We have done what no other nation has ever been able to do over the last 232 years.
In 1962, I believe, JFK said that we were going to the moon in that decade and we did. If Americans put their minds to it we can do great things again.
If Osama is elected, it will be the beginning of a fast retreat into full blown socialism if not outright Marxism and the quick decline of Democracy as we know it in the world.
This is not a speech. I sincerely believe everything that I said.
CVG I am sure you represent
July 3, 2008 - 14:47 ET by Captain RepusCVG I am sure you represent exactly the sentiments of almost all Republicans in your points, mine as well. It is just very, very depressing to have to swallow my principles and push for McCain.
I strongly agree about our energy points. If our worthless congress would come into emergency session and mandate immediate moves to fully develop all of our national oil, coal and gas resources at warp speed I believe the price of oil would almost immediately collapse to below $100 and would trend downward from that point to a realistic price level. Also, releasing half a million barrels a day from the reserve would last almost 4 years and bring in over $100 billion to the treasury. This reserve is for emergency use, and guess what - THIS IS AN EMERGENCY that is at the point of collapsing the world economy.
Unfortunately, no one in congress of either party has the interest of our national security as a priority. Bush could accomplish this with a simple executive order but he is too dense to even consider this. McCain could go on nationwide TV and plead for his fellow legislators to return immediatly to do this, but that would take an act of political courage and he seems to have left his in Hanoi.
Maybe its getting close to time to start dumping tea in the Boston harbor.
My guess
July 3, 2008 - 15:01 ET by cvgbuckeyeCaptain, my guess is that it is going to take sixties and seventies style civil obedience from the again, developing, silent majority.
We cannot afford to allow these Dem-Socialists and Rinos in congress to get away with non-action EVEN ONE MORE DAY!
Do you know that we CURRENTLY have enough DISCOVERED oil reserves to allow us to abstain from importing one more drop of oil for the next 75 years? SO all it would take is a leap of faith to:
1. Tell ALL our foreign suppliers to go to hell today
2. Start exploring in ALL domestic areas TODAY
3. Start building more refineries TODAY
4. Start building more nuclear power plants TODAY
5. Start exploring all other miscellaneous alternative energy sources TODAY
The resulting foreign panic caused by these moves would not only immediately lower the price of oil per barrel, it would also strengthen the dollar significantly IMMEDIATELY and we would be paying 1.50 a gallon for gasoline by the end of the summer and who knows from there.
This $4.00 + a gallon of gas is the biggest ruse upon the American Public since Barnum & Bailey. It is being combined with the global warming ruse to enable the social engineers of the world to totally wrest control of the free world from capitalism into outright socialsim and the end of human freedom.
Where am I going wrong?
I don't think many people
July 3, 2008 - 15:07 ET by Captain RepusI don't think many people realize the urgency of this situation. I believe we are on the brink of world-wide deep depression because of the oil insanity.
If people think Iraq is a mess and terrorism is a threat, wait until they see global food and energy riots, overthrow and collapse of major government and violent invasion of all major oil producing countries.
This stuff is really scary and I believe we are only a matter of days or weeks until things start falling apart.
