AZ Sheriff: Why More Troops at Korean Border Than U.S. Border?
Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu said the Obama administration’s decision to extend the deployment of 1,200 U.S. National Guard troops along the U.S. border with Mexico until Sept. 30 is “pandering” and that those numbers “fall far short” of what military power is needed to keep the country safe.
Babeu noted, for comparison, the 28,500 U.S. troops stationed in South Korea to help defend it against North Korean aggression; U.S. troops have been stationed in South Korea for 58 years.
Babeu is the sheriff of Pinal County in southern Arizona and is on the frontlines against illegal immigration, human traffickers, drug smugglers, and potential terrorists. He was named the 2011 National Sheriff of the Year by the National Sheriff’s Association on Sunday, June 19.
“What are we doing?” Babeu told CNSNews.com by telephone. “We need 6,000 armed soldiers on our border to protect America. Homeland Security starts at home.” He was talking about the National Guard.

"Barack & a Hard Place", Alan Colmes just blamed "Gun Runner" on the Republicans because Obama had to settle for a recess appointment at ATF.

Paul Babeu is on a fast track to take over Joe Arpaio title. He is young enough, so when is Paul Babeu announcing his candidacy for president.
Let's go isolationist.

1. Tell the world's nations that they are on their own now.
2. Bring our troops home from every where and station most of them on our southern border, where we will test a lot of weapons.
3. Also announce that the next attack on the U. S. will result in nuclear strikes to the country or region we feel is responsible. (Like what happened to Japan after Pearl Harbor only without 4 years of war first. ) So if your country wasn't responsible for the next attack you best be on the phone to Washington DC, if one happens, declaring your innocence

Our 'leaders' are just in a habit about N and S Korea, they have to be. Why spend so many troops defending a 'democracy' like S Korea from communist invasion while working to replace America's liberty with their own brand of Utopia?
I dunno...........it's pretty

I dunno...........it's pretty easy for me to figure out. The 'illegal trespassers' are a valuable source of votes, sympahty, usefulness, and 'equality' to the lib/Dem party............so there is NO WAY that they are going to make a stand against them - not that any body else has either, in the last however many years!! Plus............the state of Arizona has pissed the REGIME off royally.......even though they have Incompetano as the 'security czar'!!! ( Oh sh*t.............that , in itself, is a major league nightmare!!!). Didn't Boy Blunder basically 'blow off' Gov. Brewer??? I think he did............
And also............those pesky military people are usually voting for Republicans, and somehow their absentee ballots always seem to have some problems during the elections.........so it's probably better to keep them out there in the world somewhere else.
Mexico doesn't have nukes

This may come as a surprise to many here, but Mexico isn't really a threat to us, not like North Korea is a threat to South Korea. Let's put it into perspective: Mexico doesn't have nukes. They don't have tens of thousands of missiles pointed at any major city in th US, and their Dear Leader isn't an insane dictator who thinks that the US is going to kill all of them so prepare for the worst.
I know that illegal immigration is a touchy subject, especially here, but let's be real, it's not much of a threat to us or our way of life. Not that I support illegal immigration, after all it is illegal, but I don't see it as much of a threat to anyone. Outside of politics, illegal immigration isn't much of a threat at all. It's a nuisance, and it's illegal so let's deal with it as such, but it's not much of a threat. So we don't need armed guards patrolling our nation borders, any more than we need armed guards patrolling State, County, and City boarders. Let's be honest: The flu season is a bigger threat to Americans. After all, It wasn't illegal immigrant Mexicans that crashed plans into building on 9/11, remember? Those terrorists came here LEGALLY! Go ahead and flame away.
The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States. The US Constitution
Unless you're a fetus. The US Supreme Court
Or Anwar al-Awlaki.
Nah. No flames.

Just letting anyone cross our boarder is non-threatening? They are not all Mexicans ya know.

bring up the number of troops stationed in Kosovo? That's far more relevant to what's going on on the border than South Korea. Why do we need a single troop in Kosovo?
Illegal border crossings are a threat, for reasons hinted at and specified by both Red Jeep and Boudin, and it needs to be addressed, but as long as we have a President who is more interested in votes than he is in securing the United States, it won't be. But, the troops in Kosovo should come home, and they can easily be used on the border.
