Hello folks! My name is Joe Biden. I'm from Scranton, Pennsylvania. I'm a senator because the first guys to endorse me in 1972 were the United Steelworkers of American. The only reason I'm a senator. This is my wife Jill, or actually I'm her husband. And I'll introduce the next two people in their order of their importance. The first and most important person...Michelle Obama. Did you hear her speech at the convention? I tell you, man. I always liked Barack but I love her. And a guy you're not...you don't know much about. He doesn't draw very big crowds or anything like that. A guy from Illinois named Barack Obama.
Hey folks! They tell me this is the deal. You have to hear from me for just a few minutes. But uh, I want you to understand why. There's only one reason. I moved from Pennsylvania. My wife by the way, is from Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. I want you to know the reason I left and went to Delaware. It was real simple. I lived in a place called Greenridge in Scranton, Pennsylvania, north of Washington Avenue. And seven blocks away there was a family called the Caseys. And there was a guy named Bob Casey and then there was Bobby Casey. Bob Casey was 12 years older than me and Bobby Casey was 12 years younger than me. And I knew somebody famous was going to come out of Scranton but I sure as hell knew it wasn't going to be me. So I left.
Where's Bob Casey? Hey Bobby! How ya doin' buddy! He's the real deal!
So can anybody out there tell your humble correspondent just exactly what is in that Beaver drinking water?

oh geez
August 30, 2008 - 22:53 ET by candanceMy name is Joe Biden and I'm from Scranton? Why don't they just change their slogan to "a black guy from Chicago and good old boy from the hills."
candance, when I watched
August 30, 2008 - 23:09 ET by motherbeltcandance, when I watched that video earlier, I knew as sure as God made green apples "I'm from Scranton" would be the first words out of his mouth, and I wasn't disappointed.
Biden's family moved from Scranton when he was 10. That would have made one of the Caseys 22 and the other -2! And he supposedly knew at 10 years old that one or the other of the Caseys was going to be famous?
Another Walter Mitty moment from Slow Joe!
-7
August 30, 2008 - 23:13 ET by P.J. GladnickActually make that -7. If Biden left Scranton at age of 10, then "Bobby" would have been -7.
Well, he said Bobby Casey
August 30, 2008 - 23:20 ET by motherbeltWell, he said Bobby Casey was 12 years younger.
Don't you think that was neat how he slipped in that he's from the same town as the Caseys?? That's sure to impress people!
And Jeez, in that video, he sounds like he's on something!
<yelling> Hellooo Folks!! ????
Michelle Obama is the most important person???
I wonder if Barack is already having buyer's remorse.
Good grief!
Don't blame Biden for the math error

Hey, don't let real facts
August 30, 2008 - 23:14 ET by bigtimerHey, don't let real facts get in the way of Biden.... after-all, he's clean and articulate....and more importantly a democrat, they can't help themselves...they lie....every single time they open their mouths.

Dumbest man in the senate
August 31, 2008 - 02:26 ET by usbeefNow I know why this guy is often referred to as the dumbest man in the senate. Normally if you seen someone talking like this you would definitely assume they are drunk. Palin will wipe the floor with this mindless buffoon.
When Biden joked about Nobama not "drawing big crowds or anything" and to see Nobama's reaction reminded me of his bloated ego. Nobama cannot stand critisism and he responds to it either with an attack or a lie about the opposition. In the case of Ayers he is going so far as to use stalinist tactics to silence the oppositions freedom of speech by intimidation and stalinist lawsuits.

But, Biden is an anchor around Obama's neck....he MUST HAVE been reccommended by the Clintons.

actually, biden was only a
August 31, 2008 - 12:53 ET by clyde_mactually, biden was only a few blocks from the caseys. i'm 49, about the same age as matt casey - senator casey's brother. we played baseball together in the "farm league." we all lived in the green ridge section. i just google-mapped biden's home - he was in the far reaches of green ridge, but apparently did attend st. paul's, which is only two blocks from where i was. the caseys lived on woodlawn somewhere - in between biden and st pauls (penn ave and marion st - a block on green ridge street).
the bottom line with biden and scranton is that his house, his father's occupation - the whole bit ... they were not coal crackers like the rest of scranton. my dad worked at the eureka printing plant. his father and generations back were miners. the poor section of scranton was the other side of the tracks (literally) - two blocks from me and a whole lotta distance from woodlawn and the far reaches of north washington ave (where biden lived). plus, st. paul's was a private catholic school with tuition.
biden did not live in the rough section of scranton. i doubt he knew much of the true poor.
somebody ask him what a culm dump is. somebody say to him, "j'eet?" and see what says. if he ever said "heyna" in his life, i'd be shocked.
here's the scranton he never knew - http://www.youtube.c...

August 31, 2008 - 13:32 ET by RackieOkay, okay. Sure, Joey "Bullshit" Biden has a loose grip on the truth but doesn't he bring a bit of "gravitas"(hehe) to that "hologram" from Chicago?
The downside for Barack is that Biden doesn't so much want to help govern but to "hold court".
There aren't enough lights and mics to cover these two self-aggrandizing, opportunistic clowns.
