NBC Pulls 'Rock Center' From May Sweeps, Might Not Be Renewed In Fall

TVNewser reported moments ago that Brian Williams' prime time NBC show Rock Center, which just last week featured an exclusive with President Obama et al concerning Osama bin Laden's assassination, is being pulled for May sweeps and might not be renewed this fall:
In its place, the network will broadcast reruns of “Law & Order: SVU.”
“Rock Center” may be back on the air May 30, though NBC hasn’t released its schedule for that week yet.
Somewhat more concerning for the program: TVNewser hears that “Rock Center” will likely not be part of NBC’s Fall lineup when the network reveals it at its upfront next week. Instead, “Rock Center” will likely serve as a replacement show, stepping in for any other program that fails to catch on with viewers.
As Williams announced at the end of Wednesday's show the program would be off for a few weeks, you have to wonder whether he was aware of any future schedule constraints or was out of the loop.
Regardless, this really is very disappointing. Now Williams can only propagandize the nation before prime time starts.
I guess judging from Rock Center's ratings, America thinks that's enough.

Not even Capt Renault would have been shocked by this announcement! This show stunk; in fact, it stunk on ICE! After that O'Bozo free informercial last week, would it be any wonder its getting whacked? And kudos for an always welcomed Casablanca reference! And to paraphrase another memorable quote:
"Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, that show had to walk into mine!"

The networks LOVE Obama...worship him. They desperately want to coddle and adore him over their airwaves, but they realize that to do so is to alienate viewers which in turn alienates advertisers. What a quandary for them! They adore an anti-capitalistic president while realizing that they need their programming to be attractive to capitalistic advertisers!

Liberal media does not garner advertiser income. Remember "Air America"? The only reason that the liberal news media has survived this long is through support from other shows and George Soros sponsored non profits. Check the ratings on MSNBC shows vs. Fox shows.

I never even heard of the show before today and I'll leave it at that, just at today because I don't watch nbc(not on purpose anyway).

Well, it looks like the show's "Rock Center" of gravity tilted a bit too, shall we say, leftward and is dropping quickly down the shaft of network obscurity. I wonder how Brian feels about his show being booted during sweeps week, the week that the network tries to, you know, ATTRACT viewers? He show is the Drunken Uncle that the network is desperately trying to hide from public view.
