Julia Louis-Dreyfus - AKA Seinfeld's Elaine - Drops F-Bombs On CNN
Julia Louis-Dreyfus - aka the actress best known as Elaine on the smash hit "Seinfeld" - dropped two f-bombs on CNN Friday night.
Rather ironically, the second one came as she described to host Piers Morgan what kind of America she wanted for her kids (video follows with transcript and commentary, extreme vulgarity warning):
PIERS MORGAN, HOST: Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays the vice president on HBO's "Veep." She's back with me now. It's very funny, this. I was watching it earlier today. There's another scene later on when you're the vice president and you get told the president's having heart murmurs, and you can barely contain your glee, because you're thinking I've it. Then you realize how awful this looks.
It's dark but funny.
JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS: Thank you very much.
MORGAN: It's a nonpartisan show, in the sense that you never declare your political allegiances.
LOUIS-DREYFUS: That's right. We never identify the party that she is in. You never see the president, as a matter of fact. The show is -- it's -- the way that the politics and White House and Capitol have been portrayed I think in the past, very well, is either sort of very nobly, like "The West Wing," which was a wonderful show, of course, or sinister.
And this is between the two. It's a show about political behavior. And it's just sort of to -- our show shows sort of the raw grittiness of life in politics.
MORGAN: Do you like the freedom that HBO gives you? Because you're able to use profanity. There's some racy sex scenes.
LOUIS-DREYFUS: Yeah.
MORGAN: It's pretty full on, isn't it.
LOUIS-DREYFUS: It's f--king fantastic.
(LAUGHTER)
MORGAN: You can't say that on CNN.
LOUIS-DREYFUS: Don't you have a bleeper here?
MORGAN: Yes, we're going to have to now. That whole dream dies. I always had you down as this vestal virgin figure.
LOUIS-DREYFUS: Oh, please. You don't know who you're talking to. You have no idea.[...]
Apparently not.
In a later segment - ironically as she was telling Morgan about what kind of America she wants for her ten and five-year-old children - Louis-Dreyfus once again had difficulty governing her tongue:
MORGAN: But what do you think is the problem? What is the solution for America?
LOUIS-DREYFUS: I have no idea.
MORGAN: Yes, you do.
LOUIS-DREYFUS: No, I don't.
MORGAN: You must have thought about this. What about for your kids? What America do you want for them? How are we going to get there?
LOUIS-DREYFUS: For my children, I want my children to be active. I want them to be -- you know, this -- I want them to vote. I want them to be active. I want them to give back. I want them to be kind and compassionate. What else?
MORGAN: That's good.
LOUIS-DREYFUS: Yeah.
MORGAN: Are enough Americans pursuing that line of ambition, do you think? Good old fashioned American values?
LOUIS-DREYFUS: How about the whole world? How about the idea of compassion and kindness across the board. This is why I'm not running for office.
MORGAN: I love this.
LOUIS-DREYFUS: You do?
MORGAN: Yes, it's why you should be running for office.
LOUIS-DREYFUS: All right, I'm going to run. I'm announcing my run for --
MORGAN: This is fantastic.
LOUIS-DREYFUS: It's happening now. Spur of the moment and I'm running for office. What office do you think I should run for?
MORGAN: I would go on the anti-transvaginal probe ticket. And on that bombshell, let's have a break.
LOUIS-DREYFUS: Oh f--k me. Oh no, good luck getting all that.
Let's hope Louis-Dreyfus's young children weren't watching their mother use such vulgarity on a news channel.

I think she's very funny. I liked Seinfeld a great deal and she was an integral part of it.
But, I will not watch this show. I can tell where her politics are...can't we all? Compassion is lefty-speak for "we need to do more for the less fortunate people around the world"...with your tax dollars. Sorry, Julia. No show.

I have followed Julia's career on television. She first appeared on Saturday Night Live from 1982 till 1985. She seemed to have performed starting in college with some comedy troupe or group that lead to her getting on SNL. She worked on SNL along side Eddie Murphy, Joe Piscipo, Tim Kazurinsky, Martin Short, Christopher Guest and her husband Brad Hall among many. Then she left the show when it changed directions. So Julia did a movie with C. Thomas Howell called Soul Man and was in a supporting role in Hannah And Her Sisters. She then was cast in Family Ties in a guest role. It lead her to being in the failed spin-off The Art Of Being Nick. With that show having failed she then shot a pilot for a new show. It lasted 33 episodes and was called Day by Day. As soon as that was cancelled she started work on Seinfeld. Meanwhile that same year she was in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
Well she got big from being on Seinfeld. It lead her to doing a voice of a character on Dinosaurs on ABC in 1992. By 1995 she appeared on Jonathan Silverman's Single Guy sitcom as a guest. The show tried to stay on despite falling ratings and added Olivia A'bo, but ultimately was canned. It was on the same night as Seinfeld I think. By 1997 she did the movie Deconstructing Harry. Then Seinfeld ended in 98.
So she tried the sitcom Watching Elle, but there was curse as Jason Alexander's show Bob Patterson failed. So sure enough Elle was canned. So then she appeared on 8 episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Then 4 episodes of Arrested Development. Right in the middle of all that she began The New Adventures Of Old Christine. It stunk and got worse when they added Wanda Sykes to the show. It too was cursed and was canned, but after a few years run.
So now two years after that ended she is back with Veep.
She's pretty left wing. Told Craig Ferguson in 07 she was supporting Obama. She just told the Daily Caller she is going to vote again for Obama's re-election when asked what she thought about the republicans. She deflected the question. Said she never met Obama or Joe Biden as well. But she consulted with Al Gore for the role.
She is related to a former CEO of Adidas, used her half-sister on the show Old Christine, She has two kids with Brad Hall, and is working with My Girl's Anna Chlumsky on Veep, who is now 32.
