I remember hearing a story about an NPR host in California (shocker!) that wanted to have illegals referred to as "travelers without documents." Makes me think of hikers that lost their maps.

Reminds me of reading one of Boortz' books where he referred to homeless bums as "urban outdoorsman". Seeing how Obama hides his school records and anything that could pass for a real birth certificate, you could call him a "traveler without documents". I believe that's the nicest thing I ever called the Commie-in-Chief....

Owning guns is a fundamental right for all Americans, even though most Commiecrats, our president and his attorney general and the gun grabbers groups will not acknowledge that. It is so important that our founders saw fit to put it in the Bill of Rights. So a company that turns it back on our freedom should deserve none of our business. Bank of America has told McMillan Firearms to find another bank. If you are a gun owner and bank with BoA tell them that you still believe in the 2nd Amendment by you finding another bank. Tell them they need to change their name to Bank of Anything but America.

The official census definition:
U.S. Census Bureau
Persons of Hispanic origin, in particular, were those who indicated that their origin was Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central or South American, or some other Hispanic origin. It should be noted that persons of Hispanic origin maybe of any race.
So all that is required is that you say you are Hispanic and you are. No checking is ever done.

I always tell white youngsters (and their parents), check the box marked MIXED for race on any government, school or job paperwork, NEVER check white as that automatically puts you at the bottom of the pile. If ever challenged, just get indignant and say "How dare you!"

that finally added "Hollyweird" to my online dictionary so that Spell Check would stop underlining it? I didn't realize how often I used it that way and guess that I probably haven't spelled it correctly since Big Hollywood went online.

I just came back from a KORE

I just came back from a KORE day at the beach, on a perfect Hawaiian day - trade winds, clear skies, high clouds, perfect water, sparkling river, gorgeous mountains, palm trees, nice beach..............the whole bit!!! And there were nice little waves at the sandbar, so the participants had a chance to enjoy riding them, especialy as the tide came up.
We had a good 'sesh' today musically, with new material tested on the spot. Since Levon Helm just died, we decided to try 'The Weight', and also .............gosh, I can't think of the name of the other song...........but we knew enough of both songs to pull them off and make them sound pretty good. We also had a Hawaiian entertainer down there for the first time, and he knew a bunch of Hawaiian songs, so we played them too. Our resident harmonica player is a wheel-chair bound borderline quadrapalegic - he can just barely get his right hand to his mouth to play his harps, but he knows his way around, and he's got every key in a little harmonica box on his lap. And he used to be a waterman, but he didn't want to leave to music tent to go surfing - until his wife forced him to do it - for his own good and exercise!!!
As usual, I played 4 straight hours, so I'm pretty kicked back right now.............there wasn't even any food left for the ol' Killa do eat!!! But it was a great time, and I enjoy watching those people have such a fun and exciting and different thing to do in their lives.

I'm watching Hawaii 5-0 as the nor'easter has arrived and should be giving us rain through Monday. I'm hoping it stays dry after that as later in the week I have a Therapy Dog event at a Special Olympics.

are dogs with personalities suited to visiting people in nursing homes, hospitals, schools, etc. Both my dogs visit, and they love it. They get back rubs and told how cute they are. Who wouldn't want to do that? Later this week is a Special Olympics, rain or shine, which hardly makes sense to me. So if it rains we'll be standing outside for three hours. Ugh. It can't be good for the participants.
We'll be steering clear of D.C. with the dogs. I'm thinking if MO's pushing veggies, she might not let BO have any burgers...making my little ones look pretty tastey..
