More junk science from the usual social "scientist" suspects.

Submitted by drsamherman on Sat, 03/31/2012 - 9:44am.

http://www.miller-mccune.com/politics/is-conservatism-our-default-ideolo...

So it seems the soft, fuzzy types have been very busy with the usual badly constructed, agenda-driven and predetermined result studies on conservatism.

Let me break these down for you: a) the definition of conservatism shifts from study to study, depending on how it may be defined in the subjective mind of the leftist sociologist or psychologist conducting the study with zero scientific rigor; b) the studies were constructed using methodology which would never meet an FDA requirement of proving anything but some fool funded them; c) the small number of subjects selected makes the research virtually worthless; and sociologists are NOT scientists - they are academics who have zero clinical training in anything and do not treat patients because of their lack of clinical expertise.

If you have the time, read the drivel. I thought it deserved a "Research Road Apple of the Year" award on its own demerits.

Big clap of thunder woke me

Submitted by ricklail on Sat, 03/31/2012 - 10:44am.

Big clap of thunder woke me up this morning about 4:30 so I turned on the radio. The replay of Andrew Wilkow's show was on. He had Dr. Thoas Sowell on discussing his newest book. (I didn't catch the title.) I wish that some of his intelligence would rub off on me. I read about all his columns and have read many of his books. I would put him up against any liberal on the vace of the earth. Remember when Obama said he'd put up Mr. Burgess against Sean Hannity, Mr Burgess would eat him up? Well that didn't happen. Dr Sowell would eat up every Liberal in Congress, the WH and on TV. He wouldn't even break a sweat. The conga line of morons on MESSNBC would just be an appitizer for him.

That came from Mark Levin. I listened to 2 talks show most of the time. The Great One, Mark Levin and Cam Edwards on Cam and Company. On occasion I will listen to Andrew Wilkow. His show is on from 12-3 so the only time I get to hear it is the replay from 3-6 in the mornings if I am up.

I'm optimistic about getting rid of Obama, but since I don't think Obama is the root of the problem, I'm not particularly optimistic about the fate of the country, long-term. The progressive agenda has been in play for a long time, and it's become so ingrained into the structure of society that I don't think the national political will exists to rip it all out. We can chop the tree down, but it'll sprout again from the roots.

Augusta National is poised to invite their first worman. She is the CEO of IBM.

On the Augusta front. I know this is Dave's favortite time of the year. The talking sports heads are already slobbering all over Tiger. They are predicting him to win. On another front they are trashing Hank Haney's new tell all book, The Big Miss, about Tiger. He and some of Tiger's former concubines are set to make Tiger's life a living hell before the Masters kicks off this week.

http://www.examiner.com/celebrity-infidelity-in-national/tiger-woods-mis...

Like they need more drama at the Masters.Leave that stuff in the parking. Don't ruin the greatest golf tournament in the world though some Brits might argue about that.

A bit of correction Pressure is being put on Augusta National to invite the CEO of IBM. This is based on the previous 4 CEO's being members. Again like their network news counterparts the talking sports heads are trying to create contraversy. Shut up and report the damned sports. Leave the politics to the conga line of morons at NBC.

Here's a senior's joke you can read your mom. LOL

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day, my wife Kate and I went into town and visited a shop.

When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and I said, 'Come on, man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?'
He ignored us and continued writing the ticket.
I called him "a butthole” . He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn-out tires.

So Kate called him a “poophead”. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first.
Then he started writing more tickets. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote.

Just then our bus arrived, and we got on it and went home.
We always look for cars with "OBAMA 2012" stickers.
We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age.

That is a federal narcotics offense--very serious.

Submitted by drsamherman on Sun, 04/01/2012 - 11:51pm.

It is against federal law (and every state's narcotics law) to give any controlled substance to anyone other than to whom it was intended. Clonazepam, which is a Schedule IV benzodiazepine under DEA and state government regulations mirroring DEA, falls under this.

She could also be charged with practicing medicine without a license, prescribing without appropriate authority and practicing pharmacy without a license by dispensing prescription medications without proper authority.

These are some serious charges, and I doubt they will not be prosecuted. If the state fails, the DEA WILL step in to do the job. They have no choice.

Sarah Palin's credibility has been destroyed, probably forever.

Submitted by Rush Fan on Sun, 04/01/2012 - 3:49pm.

It's over for Sarah Palin. No forgiveness and no salvation. No one believes what she says. Sarah Palin might as well go back to Alaska, stay there, and hide her head in shame.

At least that's the situation if you believe TMZ. Sarah Palin is co-hosting the NBC "Today" show this Tuesday, and TMZ reported:

Palin and Couric are forever linked from their infamous interview in 2008 when Couric hosted "CBS Evening News." The interview is widely credited for destroying Palin's credibility ... probably forever.

For a celebrity rag, TMZ's own credibility has often been in question. For example just recently, after Rush Limbaugh's Fluke comments, where TMZ felt that "Rush offered a weak apology," TMZ reported that "Rush Limbaugh is STILL hemorrhaging advertisers." NOT!

As expected for a leftist rag, TMZ didn't bother to address the credibility of "The Perky One."

TMZ is reporting that Olbermann was planning his exit long before he was fired. So I assume his discussions with Fox News have been in the works for some time.

By the way, I seem to be losing track of time. Can someone tell me what day this is?

Israeli strategy leaked

Submitted by GregE on Sun, 04/01/2012 - 7:56pm.

Unacceptable.
http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Foreign-Policy/2012/0329/Attacking-Iran-Did...

Map. Note the geographic location of Azerbaijan compared with Iran.
http://www.sitesatlas.com/Maps/Maps/MEast.htm

Mark Levin had a former Marine call in, who 20 years ago retired but had worked with strategic attack planning including air attacks and had over 1000 hours of strategic simulations in the F-4 Phantom. Azerbaijan has a 10,000 foot concrete runway and is 300 miles from Iran, with only the Caspian Sea between them. F-15s could launch, fly 25 feet above the water undetected by radar, and be in Tehran very shortly after crossing the sea. No air refueling. No worry with bomb weight and could fully load. Iran would never expect an attack from the north.

But nope, an Obama administration official of some type has leaked this. An investigation should begin immediately and this person(s) should be brought up on charges. Think of it, this single leak COULD endanger the entire world needlessly. Let's hope it does not.

Wasn't it Henry Clay that was blathering on about gun laws

Submitted by bkeyser on Sun, 04/01/2012 - 8:14pm.

on another thread? Stupid conservatives and their crazy gun laws? Yee haw, or something like that?

I wonder if he would be surprised to learn that every Florida State Senator (meaning all the Democrats) voted in favor of the Stand Your Ground law that went into effect in 2005. The vote was 39-0 in favor. The House voted 92-20 in favor with 12 Democrats voting for the law.

You know who else signed a "stand your ground" law? Jennifer Granholm, former governor and current Current TV hypocrite. She signed Michigan's version into law in 2006.

In fact, of the 15 states that have instituted similar laws since Florida, eight were signed by Democratic governors. There were no vetoes. West Virginia and Louisiana had Democrats in control of both state houses when their versions were passed. Crazy democrats and their wild west gun laws.

Kinda make Clay look like an ass now, I think.

➚ Howard Dean

Submitted by Cool Arrow on Mon, 04/02/2012 - 12:32am.

Dean, on "FOX News Sunday" said Romney is bragging about building a "zillion dollar house with an elevator for his car".

Isn't Obama also bragging that he makes too much money?

Beltway R's in Congress, incl.Ryan, vote 4 pro Homosexual agenda

Submitted by MaximusBraveheart on Mon, 04/02/2012 - 10:43am.

Most Rs in Congress are spineless RINOs. Not only on this, but passing more spending, funding Planned Parenthood, leaving "recess appointments" in place, not going after ObamaCare, DADT repeal, not impeaching judges that need impeaching.
