All eyes are on South Carolina today. Can Newt Gingrich overcome last week's poll plummet and upset Mitt Romney's rise? How will Ron Paul and Rick Santorum do? Will anyone do so poorly that another suspended candidacy will result leaving only three?

If the Republicans can't figure out how to beat this RBFSOB, we deserve to lose this country.
It is time that we get our act together and remember exactly who and what the enemy of this country is. The first candidate to do that, and forget about who did or didn't release a frigging tax return or ethics report, will win.

These Hollywood dumb asses who support the RBFSOB don't even realize that once he seizes control of EVERYTHING, he will "neutralize" them because he will no longer need their help. They will be just another "loose end" that has to be cleaned up by the regime, just like all retired and ex-military personnel who could pose a threat to his rule.
Best part is that about 95% of the MSM will have to go, because he will only need a few parrots to feed his party line to "da peoples."

Dissecting the "Super Rich"
Submitted by CobraMan on Sat, 01/21/2012 - 12:45pm.
Yesterday, I hear some "Occupier" rant and rave about the "Super Rich" in America and how they "make too much money" and I began to wonder, just how much do the "Super Rich" in America actually make?
Let's look at the numbers: the GDP, the yearly generated wealth, in America is about 15 trillion dollars. If someone makes 150 million dollars a year, which sound like a lot of money, that means they they are making 1/10,000 of one percent of the yearly generated wealth in America. Just how is that microscopically small percentage indicate that someone is "in control" of "too much wealth," like the Occupiers keep claiming? It seems to me that they don't know what the hell they are talking about!
So my question is, what extremely small percentage of the yearly GDP would be considered "acceptable" for those Occupiers as "fair" income? Would it be 1/100,000 of one percent? Probably not as that's 15 million dollars a year. So the number must be even smaller. How about 1/1,000,000 of 1 percent? Is that small enough? Nope, that 1.5 million dollars a year, a princely sum, according to the Occupiers, so it must be even smaller. But just how small would it be?
Well, since Obama, an avowed OWS supporter, has pegged those making more than 250,000 dollars a year as being part of the "super rich," which is 2.5/10,000,000 of 1 percent of the GDP, we'll use that as the upper limit of acceptable income. It looks like if you make less than 2.5 ten millionths of one percent of the yearly generated wealth in America, you are, finally, no longer making "too much" money!
2.5 TEN MILLIONTHS of one percent of Gross Domestic Product! That's what Obama considers as the upper limit of acceptable income! Make any more than that and he'll raise your taxes! Think about it!

Rats! Texas will not have much of a voice...again!
Submitted by drsamherman on Sat, 01/21/2012 - 12:37pm.
Texas may not be able to fully participate in the primary because a stupid federal court in San Antonio has to get off its butt and approve an acceptable redistricting plan for the primary that coincides with the presidential primary. If the work is not done, Texas will have to postpone one or the other. If the presidential primary is postponed, we get no voice. If the state office primaries are postponed, we face another primary and the turnout on those elections is low. Either way, Texas got screwed by federal court interference thanks to a bunch of Democrat activists trying to gerrymander slime like Sheila Jackson Liar (she of the shower curtain coat and bad weave hairdo) and Eddie Johnson (she of the CBC scholarship give-it-all-to-family money scandal) to keep their current district territorial footprints.
My local congresscritter should be safe, but there is talk about changing his district geography around to make it smaller. We picked up four new representatives, and the GOP-controlled state legislature is trying to make sure the Dems do not try any politial chicanery to pick up those new seats. Ought to be interesting.

I feel your pain. I think we need a constitutional amendment, and amendments to each state constitution, to require our elected legislators to perform their primary functions (i.e. budget, redistricting) on time, or become ineligible for reelection. That would make them pay attention a little bit better. As for the activist judges, same deal. If their political actions are overturned by a higher court.....out!

I thought the legislature had already done the redistricting. The judge had turned that down and made his own plan. It was the judge's plant the the court threw back at him. So the legislature didn't have a plan? I understand this is important not only because of your primary but it would have meant the Commucrats would pick up 4 seats.
A three judge panel here in NC denied a request by the Commucrats to delay the May primary so they essentially OKed the district maps as drawn. Commucrats as having a fit because as many as 3 Commucrats seats look like they'll go to the Republicans. There are still 2 gerrymandered districts out of the 13.
From what I understand,
Submitted by drsamherman on Sat, 01/21/2012 - 1:15pm.
the judge in San Antonio essentially threw out the legislature's plan but did not even consult them when drawing his own plan. The redistricting was already done by the legislature, and they actually do two or three redistricting plans based on the possibility of court challenges. The judge acted with lightning speed, as though he already had his own plan waiting and just had to have the formality of a lawsuit to throw out the legislature's plan. The lawsuit, filed by the usual suspects (namely Democrat front organizations), was already prepared and just had to be walked across the street to the US courthouse to be filed the day the redistricting plan was announced. This is sort of the rule in Texas politics, and the GOP did it when the legislature was Democrat controlled. After they lost the legislature, the Democrats tried anything and everything to put up roadblocks in the way of balancing the budget and fixing some mistakes from the previous legislature. None of it worked.
In Texas, the legislature is limited to a single six month legislative session to get their business done. The constitution of the state permits the governor to call back a special session (mandatory) to consider those matters he may put before it. During those sessions, the normal rules are not in effect and the parliamentary tricks and gimmicks to delay legislation and the special majorities required for a number of issues are null and void. The legislature can only consider the business the governor puts before it and nothing else. It happened a few years ago when some of the legislators went walking away and the governor sent the Texas Rangers to bring them back because they had committed a crime through dereliction of duty. Texas doesn't mess around.

Excellent point because the "Reasonable Profits Board" has already been mentioned as a model for other industries/businesses. However, we both know the Leftists will never infringe on Hollywood who donates money, time and face to Leftist causes.
Speaking of SOPA and other potential legislation to stop copyright infringement... a couple of days after the Obama Administration announced they would not press SOPA further (for now), the file sharing service Megaupload was busted in America and several other countries. I believe Obama's first announcement was to appease the OWS types and the bust was a bone to Hollywood which complained vociferously, including stating withholding of donations to Obama's re-election campaign.
BTW, I've read that the effect of the Megaupload bust has caused other file sharing services to delete files and stop paying uploaders who's files are downloaded. Without profits for pirates the business will evaporate. No need for SOPA if current laws are enforced. With Hollywood and hippies satisfied, Obama can now get back to trashing the rest of America.

But, even after collecting, and spending, more than 2 THOUSAND times more in one year alone than the richest man in America made over his entire lifetime, it's still wasn't enough! Matthew Chapter 7 tells us how to distinguish the false prophets from the truth teller - its by their actions that we know the liars. Our Lord said you will "know them by their fruits." A bad tree cannot bear good fruit and Good tree cannot bear bad fruit.
It appears Christian voters have to revisit our Lord's advice on how to distinquish an honorable man from a totally base individual like Newt Gingrich.
John the Baptist warned the "brood of vipers" to "bear fruits worthy of repentence...every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire."
Yet I hear ladies ignore the Lord's advice by their silly statements essentially saying:
" Newt, cheat on me, throw me to the wolfs, use me and have an 'open marriage' with me! We believe you and not that divorcee Marianne. She didn't attack the media like you. You sound like the prophet and she is not worthy of our sympathy nor of our forgiveness!"

I finally came home from the beach at about 5:30 PM today - after being down there since 9 AM. It was a beautiful day, and a good day too!! The sandbar had small waves for the handicapped participants, and there were quite a few of them too. And the surf out on the reef was really good - so I made sure that my chair was positioned away from that view!!! And we had three wheelchair people in our tent the whole day, with various friends of theirs, so that they could sit in the shade and enjoy the whole scene. We even had an autistic kid playing an African drum for a couple of songs, and he did a pretty good job - we had a 'drummer' and another guitar player today, and our main 'music coordinator' brought his acoustic bass, which added to the sound.
Although we do Hawaiian, slack-key, folk, originals, acoustic rock, and whatever else we feel like playing - I'd say the most off-the-wall number we did today was 'Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds'.......which we somehow segued into 'Hang On Sloopy'.....and then brought it back home with a chorus of 'Lucy'!!! Sounds improbable, and it was the first time we had ever tried either song (well, the 'Sloopy' bit was just a lark coming from the Killa), but somehow it worked, and we got some applause for that. I told my friends that if we were getting paid for being idiots, we'd all be rich!!!
When we finished around 1:30, I wolfed down some salad, drank some water, and paddled out to the reef and surfed for over 3 straight hours in some very good, and surprisingly uncrowded surf - considering what a gorgeous day it was, and the number of cars on the beach!! I paddled in exhausted, beat, and starving at about 5 PM...........so I KNOW that I'll be sleeping well tonight.
I may just clean house and watch playoff NFL tomorrow - the games start a lot earlier over here than they do for all you people there on the mainland...........I'm exhausted.

When will someone call BS on this bitch?
Submitted by ricklail on Sat, 01/21/2012 - 7:19pm.
Forgive the French. I was watching Fox news were Little Debs of the Wasserman crime family was asked the question, when Hillary and Obama went so far into the primary did it make them better canidates? The bitch then started on a tear against Republicans, blah, blah, they are going to end Medicare and all the other BS When the interviewer said that is not the question I asked she started her standard BS about the "extreme" tea party. When is someone other than Col West going to call this bitch out.. She is not just a liar but a damned humped back liar. I am sick of her. Enough is enough.
I watched that, too, Rick.

Can you imagine a hell worse than being married to that bitch?
There ain't enough paper bags and duct tape in the world to make having sex with that yammering, mayonnaise head even remotely pleasant!
Why does Fox even bother?

Submitted by UpNorth on Sat, 01/21/2012 - 7:42pm.
It seems that the Obama administration has decided to award a contract for the LAAR, that's Light Attack Armed Reconaissance aircraft to Embraer, a Brazilian company, over the entry submitted by Hawker-Beechcraft. 1200 jobs that won't be paying any US taxes. I wonder how much of Embraer Soros owns?
Brazil's current president is Dilma Roussef, a Marxist who fought in assorted Marxist guerilla groups.
One of the more troubling aspects of this contract is this, "Another troubling item is an unconventional clause in the potential Embraer contract known as the “Golden Share” clause. Under that provision, the Brazilian government would be empowered to shut down the operation at any time during the production or maintenance of the aircraft. Alarmingly, the United States would have no means for recourse on the matter. That’s not very “golden” for American interests".
So, Barry is doing just a wonderful job of providing jobs for Americans.

Many thanks for your concern. Please have a great 2012!

The last time I broke a rib the doctor gave me some of the good stuff that put me in LaLa land for a few days. With 2 broke ribs and a damaged hip he must have given you something to put in in LaLa land for weeks. That broken rib is the worse pain I ever had. Take care. We need you back full time.

Submitted by Agnostic on Sun, 01/22/2012 - 10:16am.
I'm sure all of you are tired of this story about how Zachary Edwards tried to still the identity of a Republican in Iowa to have him discredited for political reasons. The media has been twisting logic trying to make connections between Edwards and President Obama and Michelle Obama (Michael is supposedly one of Michelle's close friends) while completely ignoring the truly important stories of Romney's taxes and the grievances of Newt's ex-wife. The fact that the case may be coming to criminal charges just shows how the Conservatives use the media to criminalize their opponents.
