Have you done a search yet to see how many stories there are this morning on Solyndra after yesterday's document dump? I heard y'all talking about it last night on Cam & Company. Also can you do a serach to find out how many stories have been done by the MSM on Operation Wide Receiver as compared to Operation White Gun and Fast and Furious after the DOInJ's document dump on Wide Receiver? Matter of fact on last night's show was the first time I heard about the Solyndra document dump.

I have worked in the prison system for 16 years now. I don't have to search convicts. Many of the guys tell me the things they find "suitcased" when doing strip searches. (Suitcase is a term used by cons to have something stuff up they whazoo.) There was one one time that a con had a cell phone up there were the sun don't shine. They could hear it ringing but they were not allowed to remove it. He was sent to the hospital to have it remove but on the ride there he pulled it out. This one takes the cake. This was close to home too. A .38 revolver found where the sun never shines.
PS DAVE: This guy was from Georgia. I know you can't keep Jimma Kotter, Cynthia McKinney, Cynthia Tucker, Hank Johnson and John Lewis shut up and in state but we don't need your state's scum here.

I'm betting that the man described in the attached article will be allowed to marry his neighbor's dog within five years, instead of going to prison for just "dating" it.
All those jokes you hear about the South. Maybe there is something to it?
I hope that it was, at least, a cute female breed! Homosexual "mating" with animals is probably ten years away.

Another over reach by Obama and Holder upheld
Submitted by ricklail on Sat, 01/14/2012 - 10:55am.
To set the background, several months ago Holder, under the direction of Obama, sent out a demand letter requiring federal firearm licensees in the border states, CA, AZ, TX and NM keep records on multiple sales of long guns. Suits were immediately filed against about this. Basis was that only Congress can make the guns laws. One of Obama's hind tit sucking federal judges dismissed the suit saying that Holder and Obama were well within their authority to do this. As far as I can tell the judge did not quote book, chapter or line in the law that allows this. It will be appealed.
This is just another example of Bambi making law. When are the damned Republicans going to grow a pair and stop this? Enough is enough. Some of the chicken crap Republicans have introduced bills to stop the funding. To me that is BS. Go to court and stop the man, NOW. I am very mad about this.

I haven't checked out your link yet, but there were some retrieved e-mails attached to this same case between the DOJ and the ATF, asking to compile numbers on crimes committed with those same long rifles that these clowns allowed to walk with straw-purchasers, so these 'crime numbers' could be used by the DOJ in gun control demagoguery. The audacity of crooks. In my opinion, this scandal alone (and there are many) is enough of a basis for impeachment.

You are right. The purpose of Fast and Furious was to push this law. Those e-mails shed some light on that. The next thing to blow up in Holder's face may just be Operation White Gun. Not much info on that just yet.

MLK menu
Submitted by ricklail on Sat, 01/14/2012 - 11:49am.
I am so full of myself this morning. The wife had to got to school today to make up for the days missed during Irene. So I can goof off until she gets home.
Anyway i want to know what you are suppsoed to eat on MLK day. Christmas and Thanksgiving we have turkey and ham, unless you live near the ocean and then you have a seafood buffet. New Year's Day we have blackeyed peas, some type of pork and some type of leafy green. July 4th it is hambugers and hot dogs. Labor Day it is BBQ and tater salad. (That is unless you are Dave and don't mind the work you can have BBQ every holiday.) Easter doesn't really have a set menu but grandmaw always make country ham, cathead biscuits, deviled eggs, green beans and tater salad. So is it appropriate to have bolgona and pimento cheese sandwiches for MLK? ( Is it spelled pimentoe?) I don't put the pimento cheese on the boglona but their is a place between Lexington and Mocksville that puts pimento cheese on hamburgers and calls it a cheeseburger.

No voting law could ever be enacted with those restrictions.
I pity the minorities who now will never be able to unclog their drains. Such a tragedy. Where's the ACLU? Where's the Southern Poverty Law Center? Where's the Black Caucus? Where's Jesse Jackson? Where's Jimmie Carter? Where's the UN? Where's Amnesty International?
And of course the biggee... Where is Eric Holder along with the DOJ suing the state of Illinois for violating the rights of the poor classes by denying them free and easy access to drain cleaning products?
Liberal solutions to problems
Submitted by ant on Sat, 01/14/2012 - 1:40pm.
Liberal solutions to problems are both hilarious and sad. I remember when some liberals believed bank robberies could be halted by making it illegal to wear shades and a baseball cap inside a bank. As if. Hahahaha. It would be a riot to compile some of their ideas into a list. Stop TeaParty assemblies by declaring protest signs 'potential deadly weapons'..they even attempted to classify lawyer jokes as hate crimes a few years back. CO2 as pollution, Guam tipping over..racist Hallmark cards..oh so many.

Tebow is an attractive sports hero; that's all. His following is no more a cult than those who idolized Michael Jordan or any number of other sports heroes. And when all is said and done, Tim Tebow has no control over our lives, nor can he force us to do anything.
It's the Cult of Obama we have to worry about. He has real power.

Submitted by GregE on Sat, 01/14/2012 - 12:42pm.
A couple weeks ago I was responding to a post here, and suddenly my browser closed and the "Windows xp 2012 virus" loaded to my computer. Had to rid my machine of it. I assumed it downloaded from this site so I blocked it for a couple weeks so I wouldn't accidentally come here before things cleared up.
Just now coming back and wanted to ask if anyone else had this happen? I'm curious if it came from this site or just a coincidence that it hit my computer while I was here.

Haven't heard anyone else recently say that they'd been attacked. It happened to me quite a long time ago (I think there are worms in some of the ads), but I now use Firefox exclusively for NB, and run ad-block plus.
Glad you're all back up.

Firefox
Submitted by bkeyser on Sat, 01/14/2012 - 2:04pm.
I just switched to Chrome. Firefox is such a memory hog. I don't know what they did in the last couple of updates, but it basically doubled it's usage all of the sudden. I added the AdBlock Plus extension to Chrome which is working well, and a script-blocker similar to the NoScript add-on I used in Firefox. The two browsers are amazingly similar in look and feel, though Chrome uses far less resources. Just FYI for anyone interested.
Never got a virus here -that I'm aware of- though my suggestion would be a good anti-virus software. I use Norton which was free with my Comcast internet package, but AVG is an excellent, free downloadable anti-virus software for anyone looking.
Welcome back!

Submitted by Model850 on Sat, 01/14/2012 - 3:49pm.
I've never picked up a virus here but my ISP provides McAfee with its service. McAfee includes what it calls Site Advisor that works as an add-on to the version of FF I'm running (4.0). On many occasions McAfee will display a black banner across the top of the page with this text:
We tested this page and blocked content that comes from potentially dangerous or suspicious sites. Allow this content only if you're sure it comes from safe sites.
Whenever this banner displays I find that the BACK button on the browser no longer functions and I have to return to the main blogs page using a different method. So apparently there sometimes are some funny goings-on unrelated to the NB site itself but that come from ads (as Blonde suggested).

Submitted by Newsbubba on Sat, 01/14/2012 - 2:17pm.
Will this word will become a recognized English word to describe our current political situation?
Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Certainly, I hope I'm wrong, but the more I think about it . . .
How many of us have experienced, or heard the horror stories of insurance companies whose policy it seems to be, to deny claims as a matter of principle, buckling only after much back and forth with them.
I'm afraid there are sufficient people who do indeed long for a "no questions asked" policy. It will be supremely inferior, but most Americans can't see beyond promises anyway.
I think we're going to see another 4 years of this administration.

Ive been saying here for weeks that Obama would soon begin going to church publicly, in DC, as the campaign gets under way.
And I was right.
Suddenly, the president who stayed away because he was always concerned that he would create too much of a distraction at the church services, has gotten over his worry.
Time to dust off those halo photos...and can this be far behind?
By Easter he will be preaching in black churches again.
