Appearing as a guest on Wednesday's New Day on CNN, during a discussion of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani asserted that he would "have her under investigation for about five different crimes right now," and that it is "outrageous that the Justice Department is not moving forward with this."

Calling it a "true criminal case against Hillary Clinton," he further argued that the destruction of the drive which contained 34,000 emails, some of which were government-related, constituted "obstruction of justice" and could be viewed by a court as an "inference of guilt."

On Tuesday night, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow rushed to defend Hillary Clinton following a corrected story in the New York Times that initially alleged that a “criminal inquiry” had been sought in her use of a private e-mail.

Comedian and libertarian Penn Jillette stood up for the Second Amendment, Tuesday, offering a rare non-liberal perspective on Comedy Central's Nightly Show. In typical liberal media fashion, Jillette was outnumbered three-to-one. After contributor Ricky Velez made the tired argument that the Second Amendment was about muskets, Jillette zinged, "But, unfortunately, with that exact same argument on the First Amendment, you have real trouble too." Highlighting that speech now includes the internet and television, he added, "... The First Amendment has been broadened tremendously beyond the Founding Fathers and I'm all for that."

Piers Morgan, a British journalist who has excoriated the “appalling gun culture that now pervades every aspect of American life,” wouldn’t mind owning a bow and arrow … so he can start “Big Human Hunting.”

In a July 28 piece for the Daily Mail, Morgan attacked dentist and hunter Dr. Walter Palmer for killing Cecil, a renowned Zimbabwean lion being tracked for an Oxford study.

The cover-up behind the IRS targeting scandal continues to unravel, despite President Barack Obama’s absurd protest to the Daily Show’s Jon Stewart last week that “the truth of the matter is there was not some big conspiracy.” This week’s revelations provided the perfect opportunity to catch Obama in a “gotcha” moment but so far ABC, CBS and NBC have reacted with total silence.

Fear often trumps facts in media coverage. The past several years of worries about dying colonies of bees was certainly no exception, but The Washington Post recently supplied some much-needed sting to the honeybee situation.

News media scare stories about bee deaths and the label that came to describe the occurrence -- Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) -- saturated the news. Magazines, broadcast networks and left-wing websites blamed bee deaths on a host of factors, including cell phones, pesticides, mites and fungi. Oh, and global warming, of course.

Few things in life give liberals more joy than speaking for those who can’t speak for themselves – trees, polar bears, discredited economic doctrines. And sometimes that can even be a good thing.

Louisiana Governor and Republican presidential candidate Bobby Jindal appeared on Wednesday’s CBS This Morning and was repeatedly hit by the show’s hosts over his approval rating and over Mike Huckabee’s recent comments on the Iranian nuclear deal.

Last night on Hardball, Chris Matthews hit the Republicans Party for having “this love affair with anger.” In a panel discussion on the 2016 Republican race for the nomination, the MSNBC personality explained that part of Donald Trump’s appeal is that the Republicans are “an angry party.” Matthews thought it unlikely that the party in its current state could nominate an establishment figure like Jeb Bush.

Appearing on Fox News’s The Kelly File Tuesday night, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie blasted the press over the stunning double standard of its obsession with Bridgegate versus its minimal coverage of a possible criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton’s e-mail scandal: “I'm waiting for the nightly specials on other news networks. I'm waiting for the breathless front-page stories on The New York Times that they don't back off from every time Hillary Clinton yells at them....it's completely biased, unfair, disparate treatment.”

Questions for Mike Barnicle: does the phrase "suicide bomber" ring a bell? How about "martyrdom" in the name of Allah?

On today's Morning JoeBarnicle's argument in favor of the Iran deal was that to oppose it, one would "have to believe Iran is suicidal." The former Boston Globe columnist reasoned that if Iran dropped an atomic bomb on Tel Aviv, "Tehran would be a combination of glass and sand and cement within 15 minutes."

In some areas of the country, Planned Parenthood has gone on the offensive against local and regional news outlets in an attempt to minimize the exposure of damning undercover videos produced by the Center for Medical Progress. They are telling these outlets that the videos "should not be aired."

This is an attempt at corporate censorship which the establishment press would treat as important news if almost any other business — for-profit or not-for-profit — made such an attempt.

Jackie Calmes, one of the New York Times' most reliably pro-Democratic, Obama-supporting reporters, lit into the "conservative media" as leading the Republican Party to perdition in Tuesday's "As the G.O.P. Base Clamors for Confrontation, Candidates Oblige." Calmes' story was packed with labeling bias and dismissive, hostile portrayals of conservatives as angry, robotic followers of Rush Limbaugh and the like. There were an impressive 24 "conservative" labels in her 1,167-word story.

The Center for Medical Progress has now issued a third recording of Planned Parenthood officials explaining their grotesque trafficking in baby body parts. It is even more devastating than the first two.

The “news” media barely covered the second installment.  They will probably pass over this one altogether. Trump World is apparently far more important than the extermination of babies for profit.
