If you're a sports fan, you gotta love everything available this weekend from some great college football matchups, some great NFL games, the MLB playoffs, and the hockey season.

Hoping my beat-up and extremely young Gators can get all of their stuff back in one bag....I think we match up fairly well with Auburn, but we're playing in their house, and they are always tricky. 50-50, IMO.
The one thing that is totally cool about Auburn is their live mascot, the WAR EAGLE. Seeing that golden eagle circle the stadium is amazing, although I'm not sure they'll do it today as the game starts at 7:00 p.m. Here's hoping to great outcomes!

Heels playing the scUM at Blue Heaven. I am going to make a wild a$$ed prediction. Miss. State over the Game Chickens in Starkvegas.
I did this last week but didn't get many responses.
Most Overrated Team at the start of the season
c) Ohio State
e) Your pick
a) Wake Forest
b) Jajwa Tech
c) Kansas State
e) Your pick
The way they are listed are my picks.
I heard one of the sports talking heads, I think it was Mark Packer, say that if the Gators had Demps and Brantley thing would have been different in the last two games. If I was Muschamp I'd find the schedule maker that made the schedule of LSU, Bama, and Auburnt in a row and choke the living crap out of him or her. That person has it in for the Gators.

If frogs had wings, they wouldn't bump their arses crossing the Jersey Turnpike, either.
It is what it is....we have to play the SEC teams, year in, and year out. It was just our luck that we got Bama & LSU back-to-back whilst those two are atop the polls. If we wanted to be like the UT whiners, we'd be saying "if if if"....but we're not.
Please, please, please, Rick.....may your Tarheels kick the ever-loving stuffing out of the scUM.

Well, I hope that not too many people watched the UH Warriors - who were playing more like the UH RAINBOW Warriors - shoot themselves in both feet last night against San Jose State......................and then manage to put it back together for a while, only to give it up at the end of the game. I've seen them play poorly before, but last night - and especially the first half - was about as bad as it gets..............and on national TV!!!!

scUM score 2 TDs in 14 seconds. Up 14-0 over my Heels.
Submitted by ricklail on Sat, 10/15/2011 - 12:52pm.
scUM up 27-3 with 5 minutes to go in the first half. Why didn't the scUM team that got beat by Maryland show up instead of the team that beat Ohio state?

What are you thinking?
I just got home from getting my pumpkin carving tools, and hadn't seen the score yet.
Wazzup w/THAT, Rick?
Submitted by ricklail on Sat, 10/15/2011 - 1:40pm.
They cut it to 10-27 at the end of the first half. Heels need to get some mo and hang on to it.

Exciting last minute....I thought you had a shot at them.

Good thing the game wasn't played in Miami. After that performance I'd made half the team walk back home.
How did they ever let Giavoni Bernard get out of the Sunshine State? He played HS ball at St Thomas Aquines. He just had his 5th straight game with over 100 yards rushing.

LOL - LSU left a whole bunch of 'em in Knoxville. :-)

It's going to be sweet...I'll post a pic on my blog tomorrow....watching the game now.
We knew those pumpkin pukes would fail. FAIL FAIL FAIL.

I wanted to watch some of it but I went to sleep. With this new C-USA Mountain West merger I may get to see the Rainbows in Greenville playing ECU. Don't you know that will be one long flight. Right now the farthest the Pirates have to travel west is Dallas to play SMU.
Submitted by killa37 on Sat, 10/15/2011 - 12:25pm.
Going to sleep was a good choice!!! Actually, it got interesting in the second half, but it ended ugly............actually, the first half was ugly for UH, and the second half was ugly for San Jose State..........but they got the result, and UH got what they deserved for playing so crappy.

GO YELLOW BRITCHES!
Submitted by ricklail on Sat, 10/15/2011 - 3:21pm.
What's wrong with the Yellow Britches? Down 14-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.
My Heels lost today. The Falcons better not lose to sCAM and the stinking Panthers.
Go Demon Deacons. It would be great if they beat the Criminoles.

Dave - my Coast Guard son was at that game today- he flew up from Miami, because I guess it's UV homecoming. He is a graduate of Darden Business School, which is at UVA - he took two years off from the Coast guard about 4 years ago to get his masters in Economics. Of course, he looked like a semi-hippie the whole time - I think he was just 'letting his hair down' from his normal 'Officer and a Gentleman' look that he keeps when he is active Coast Guard.....................but nobody would mistake him for a hippie if they talked to him!!!
He sent me a photo from the stadium on his phone..................sorry about your Yellow Britches!!!!!

I can honestly say I feel your pain after my Heels lost to the scUM.

I can't believe GT lost today.
I was so sure they would be undefeated when they faced Clem's son.

It's now 45-7 with a whole quarter remaining.

Possible upset brewing there.
And the Tide scores yet again. :-)
LOL - Maybe Nick Saban will play all the freshmen in the 4th.

Tennessee head coach Derek Dooley was asked by a reporter how to prepare for Bama next week. He said and I quote, "Dont score first, it pisses them off".
