Martin Bashir Intentionally Says 'S--ty' On The Air
It's one thing to accidentally let a vulgarity slip when you're on live television, but intentionally doing it when you are a news commentator is a completely different thing.
With this in mind, one has to wonder why MSNBC's Martin Bashir did this on the show bearing his name Friday (video follows with transcript and commentary):
MARTIN BASHIR: In their own emails indeed Goldman Sachs described their own products as quote “shitty” and “cats and dogs” which seems to me like an admission that they were selling excrement to clients. Yet he goes before the committee and he denies that completely.
So is it now acceptable for a television commentator to use a vulgarity on the air if he's quoting someone?
Doesn't that open up all words to be used in this medium no matter how profane?

There are many clowns on MSNBC trying to take the place of the head clown that stepped out of the car recently...Bashir has some "big shoes" to fill...
Maybe it's not a dirty word to Marty.

After all, he may belong to that wonderful sect of Islam known a Shiite. Not sure how he would pronounce it, but you get the idea.

Bashir was just trying to see if at least the FCC is watching him. My guess is no, leaving only his mother tuning it.
Maybe this was a Freudian slip

...and Bashir was thinking about Obama, and has accidentally let us know what he really thinks about the Obama presidency.
