Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) has been cleared to attend Friday's shuttle launch which includes her astronaut husband Mark (video of the annoucement follows with commentary):
All of the prayers that have been said for this woman and her family since January's tragic shootings in Tucson must be working.

Godspeed, Gabby. We can't way to see you back on the House floor.

Now if NASA can just keep her (fake) BFF Wasserman away from the cameras...

Of course little Debs will be there, and probably the flying Senator Bill Nelson, too.
Remember, little Debs' mummy has been indicted, a factoid the media never mentions when singing her praises (look up Diana Wasserman Rubin).

I didn't know this -- gee, I wonder why?
And, they even look the same:

One might wonder if any "stimulus" money was involved?

have been a crime had the Rubins not benefited financially from these actions.
"Investigators allege that Rubin received three $15,000 bonuses for his work on successful grants that were supported by his wife."

She has worked hard. She set a target for her rehabilitation and attacked it in an all-out war. She has acheived at least a partial victory over her sudden incapacitiation and deserves some well earned R&R to see her husband blast-off on one of the last shuttle flights of this nation.
Afterward I am sure she will set other targets for her recovery and like a laser guided missile, home in on them and defeat each one in turn until she can declare total victory. She is a fighter with a warrior's spirit and will not be detered by obstacles or set-backs.
I'm sorry...is that too violent in it's imagry?

But I see it as an opportunity for the Chairman to take advantage of this and it'll probably be done in a way that will be BEYOND cringe-worthy.
Bad enough the Chairman is seeing the Endeavor off as a way of killing our space program in favor of outreach to the muslims.
So while I am glad she will get to see her husband lift off, I fear she's going to be a prop in this situation.

jon, Sadly, I agree with you on this

Rep. Giffords is going to be the poster girl for the upcoming circumvention of the 2nd Amendment by the Obamanistas that we all know is coming.
If the sheeple cave here, as they pretty much have concerning everything else this rogue POTUS from Hell has done to date, America is finished as it was founded.
It may only be a matter of time now, and not very much of that.

This is very good news. Can't help but to wonder if this was a republican congresswoman if the democrats would be as classy.

This isn't a time to "go there".
Let's just celebrate her resilience.

I'm glad Rep. Giffords is well enough to attend the launch

It's just too bad they can't strap the low-life bottom-feeder that shot her to the nose of Endeavor just prior to launch, face forward.
I'm sure Mark Kelly wouldn't mind.
Neither would I.
