If an old photo had been used of AF1 flying by the Statue of Liberty, do you think anyone would have detected it?

I think we are seeing a trend here - Obama is consistently removing himself from problematic situations by assigning responsibility to others.

The plane incident is just the latest - it was an underling who decided to do the photo-op, so Obama is not responsible.

On the issue of gun control, he is allowing the members of the Democrat-dominated Congress to do the deed - he has nothing to do with it, so he can stand by his previous declarations of support for the Second Amendment.

The same is true with the resurrection of the "Fairness" Doctrine.

The problems of Korea, Iran and other troubled spots are in Hillary's hands.  We will see how that plays out.  But, if it goes bad, I have no doubt it will be Hillary's fault, not Obama's.

I just caught Obama at the FBI on FOX. He said "It was a mistake.We found out about along with all of you, it will not happen again." Obviously this was something planned during Bush's term. Bush should have known the panic it would cause but he and his underlings arranged the incident in a manner that bypassed the excellent controls Obama has insisted his devoted civil servants follow.

Seriously, and following in the same vein as JohnK and others, this guy doesn't know what taking responsibility is. If he had said "We made a mistake. Unfortunately, I found out at the same...", I could say he was learning. But, nooo!

no mention of the carbon footprint that a jumbo jet and 2 F-16's leaves.

The photos will probably be used in the next campaign or following the next terrorist attack (which is more than likely to happen thanks to Obama's releasing classified material which will help inform our enemies how we go about our Intelligence business!)  It will be Obama, piloting the plane, to rescue Americans from the evil terrorists who had the audacity to attack us once again.  Captain Obama to the rescue!!

No, this incident was nothing short of utter recklessness.  Here we are, post 9/11/01, being told by DHS to be on the watch of "suspicious activity."  Somebody tell me what kind of idiot(s) were not able to consider that two low-flying, high-speed jets over lower Manhattan well outside of the  airtraffic corridors might qualify as "suspicious activity."

My guess is that there was something else going on with this flight. Just what it was isn't clear yet.This is more than yet another goof up by the inmates working at the One Flew Over The White House Nest padded cells.

When AF-1 flies, every AC tower in sight is alerted. Hundreds of controllers and associated people know and are tracking the flight. There's a flight plan filed--this would be true particularly critical on this "experimental" low level flight over NYC. Permissions and clearances have to be obtained. All air traffic is alerted (to avoid that air space). Planes on the ground (some at least) would have be delayed. In other words, it's a very big deal.

A low level flight over NYC, and I suspect several passes were planned for photo op purposes, is just not a casual matter. AF-1 didn't just magically appear over NYC for such a silly reason.

Muslim admin plays wicked games NYC from a NYer

Yesterday, Air Force One flew, on wing end (oddly reminiscent of the looks of the planes on 9/11), escorted by fighter jet around NYC, to the hole in the ground that used to be the WTC. Low-and-slow ain't just for bbq anymore.

A Hudson River NJ man called his office worker friend downtown and told him to look out his office window- where he saw the huge plane and fighter jet, flying on angled wing, like they did on 9/11, heading for his building. Just like the enemy did right before they hit the Tower, for all to see- over and over on the news- until this nightmare was embedded in all minds, forever. That horrible day, we were all 'there'.

People screamed, panicked, ran out of buildings, into the streets. The memory (and the smells) of 9/11 have not faded at all for New Yorkers and others who work here. I heard some were injured in the panic. Make no mistake, the enemy are sick bastards and we'd better wise up, fast.
