So , while I struggle with sin like all who have yet the flesh, I know and you know what the bibles position on young women exposing themselves lasciviously, would be. Under any circumstance. I know many Gay people. I have had some of them in my employ for years until just recently and I employed some of them to handle some of my business affairs. If it were the understanding of my flesh that I would use, I would have compassion on their plight to be included. I know them as people, I know their hopes, dreams and aspirations. But the Word of God says that they are an abomination. The Word says that my flesh is given over to abomination which is why I'd watch two lesbians doing their thing at the drop of a hat! Lol. The Word also says that if I approve of their actions even if I do not practice what they practice, I will suffer the same fate as they do and that their fate is death, eternal separation from God. Romans 1:22-32. So in the end I can't agree, even though my flesh does, even though I struggle with porn and Playboy and Jennifer Aniston and like every other Joe.  God bless.

None of the things you wrote are in conflict with what I wrote since they have the same author Paul. Paul regarded it as an act of love to convince people that they were headed to hell and needed salvation. He would not have considered it "charity" to change what was necessary FOR that salvation, he would have considered it "false doctrine", which he wrote about extensively. That is why you misquote him in an effort to take away the sting of plainly written scripture. I've been there. Yes, we should "Feed the Poor" what does that have to do with telling you that unless you're "born again" you're going to go to hell? Jesus is the one who said that? John 3:1-8 Mark 16:15-20, Rev 21:8, I didn't. IF you feed the poor is it your position that you should not tell them how to avoid hell? Or is it your position that there is no hell and we should all just have a sandwich? What did you think that Jesus meant by saying "Lo, I come in the VOLUME, of the book?" It means that you don't just find His precepts in the things you like. You also find that as loving as He is, He is the one who first warned us of Hell! Jesus said this...not me!

Now, seems to me that it would be an act of  "love" "charity" and "oh, thank my freaking lucky stars", to tell some poor guy that he had it wrong but that it wasn't too late to get it right! Seems to me that if some poor sod, loved Christ but his "love" was insufficient to wash away all of his sins although it "covereth a multitude" he might like to know that! If some poor Christian thought he was on the way to heaven because he believed and confessed like Nicodemus and yet, Jesus told Nicodemus that that was not enough, seems to me that the poor sod might be better off in the end by being told the truth. If he really loved Jesus that is. Hmmm. Sounds a lot like "love" to me.

My friend I am not "condemning" anything. I don't have that power. 

I am discussing whether it is "good or bad or right or wrong". That is not condemning. Did you know that the penalties mentioned in the bible, for all of those sins listed in the O.T. ,were actually carried out? When they found people guilty of adultery, bestiality, or homosexuality, they KILLED them! They didn't get parole, the ACLU didn't stage a pogrom, they got rocks and lot's of 'em. That's what "condemning" is according to scripture, it is not the "observance" of behavior as being right or wrong. That's the job of every person to determine what's right or wrong and the bible is supposed to be a Christians guide! Words change their meaning over time, your "profession" biblically had little to do with your job, it was your declaration of faith. And for that matter your work only became your JOB because of the trials of a man named JOB. Another word whose meaning has changed.  That is the mistake a lot of us make when we misquote  "Judge not, lest ye be judged" or say, "you're not talking in love" , to someone who simply tells us what God said. What they really mean is "don't say nothing about my behavior",  so let me murder babies and teach sodomy to your eleven year old because as a supposed "Christian", you can't judge! This looks like a good place to say "poppycock"! And, that certainly is the modern understanding of that portion of God's word but it is as wrong as the day is long. Think about it. Most of the bible is warning us against some behavior, thought pattern, or other, right? Thou Shalt Not....etc. Most of the bible, the O.T., contains actual penalties for various sins meted out in real time!  When they found transgressors and the Word said "stone " them, for this or that,  rocks are what they got.  Now, naturally we aren't in the O.T anymore because Christ DID die on the cross, so while WE don't mete out the penalty for sin, it is nonetheless still sin and it still will be penalized!  

If the popular understanding is correct then the entire bible is useless since it warns us against BAD BEHAVIOR and BAD PEOPLE! Why "beware of false prophets" if it doesn't matter who you listen to? Why does the word say that you're not supposed to even eat with someone who is in your congregation and won't stop fornicating, much less invite them in to preach?  

1Corinthians 5:11 

 11But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 

Why did Paul demand that unrepentant FORNICATORS be thrown out of the church and delivered to SATAN..1 Corinthians 5

 2And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

If we're supposed to "love the sinner but hate the sin", don't you think someone should have told Paul?  When the time of real judgement and "condemnation" comes, do you think Jesus is going to use, "Joel Osteens," measure to judge people by? Or should we think that Jesus is going with the measure he gave to His apostles? If our churches say all you have to do is "CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD" and you'll be saved,  yet the word says....

Which standard do we think Christ is going to use? His or Ours? This is His. Ours is, in some cases quite different.

Do you think Jesus will change his ways because we preached it wrong? Especially, since he told us that people would try to change His word but that his word remained "settled in heaven"?And especially since He told us the vital necessity of adhering to His word in an unadulterated fashion? I mean, according to the word "somebody's" going to be thrown in the lake of fire, right? I daresay this thought challenges the theology of those who believe more, shall we say, liberally, but the word is clear. Rev 21:8  Who we gonna believe, Jesus or our "lying eyes". 

Btw, not picking on Osteen, he is simply emblematic of the alleged "emergent" church. I could have easily used Richard Cizik (sic?) "Emergent" really means "diametrically opposed to sound doctrine as clearly written", but I digress! God bless Merry Christmas. Exit thought: In this time commerce, when we're told about Jesus bringing "Peace on Earth", to the extent that he's mentioned at all, what if they're wrong. What if Christ actually said the exact opposite thing? What if he didn't come to bring "peace" at all? Hint: Matt 10:34-39, could be a clue. Too young to remember Carson.  From the clips I've seen though, I can definitely tell that he and Ed McMahon were way funnier than Leno or Letterman.

As of late, I've only seen JR doing the red carpet interviews with her daughter.  Not her best moments, IMO.  I've heard of Phyllis Diller, just don't know too much about her.  IMHO, Lucille Ball is the queen of comedy and Rosie couldn't hold a candle to any of the above mentioned.
