Charlie Spiering at Breitbart reported that Alan Pyke, the Deputy Economic Policy Editor for a blog calling itself "Think Progress," posted that he wanted Fox News President Roger Ailes to die after he saw how Fox was covering the police-brutality protests in Ferguson, Missouri.
Pyke tweeted: “I hope Roger Ailes dies slow, painful, and soon. The evil that man has done to the American tapestry is unprecedented for an individual.” How on Earth is Ailes worse than oh, abortionists or drug dealers or Fort Hood mass murderers? Someone in "Progress" Land pressed Pyke to apologize:
Deleting my hateful Roger Ailes tweet from earlier. Hoping that another human being dies is a shitty thing to do, and I'm sorry.

Pyke pegs himself as "reflexively assholish" in his Twitter bio. He obsessed over Ferguson, laying into police personnel in general, including an old "pinned" tweet:
Let's design a profession that gives lethal force & total impunity to anyone who can pass a basic physical fitness test and read a textbook.

The majority of police who do not behave monstrously as a matter of routine have lost their claim to being the industry's moral center.

Film the fucking police. If they are as clean as they want us to think, the tape will show it.
