Elisabeth Hasselbeck Defends Herself From Joy Behar's Attack -- With Instagram Reply

Jordan Zakarin at The Wrap reported that Fox News host Elisabeth Hasselback shot back at Joy Behar – a hand-written note on Instagram! – after Behar accused her of a “below-the-belt attack” on Rosie O’Donnell when she accused Rosie of “spitting in the face of our military.” Rosie suggested our soldiers were the real terrorists. How that’s not spit is anyone’s guess.

It began when Hasselbeck, speaking on “Fox and Friends,” charged O'Donnell with being anti-military, and Behar called that a “really kind of below-the-belt” remark on CNN, which led to Hasselbeck's late Thursday Instagram post.

“I actually called to talk to her 7 years ago,” Hasselbeck wrote about O'Donnell. “She did not want to speak to me. I am happy to have a #momversation about why I would never defend her 2007 comments below,” quoting what Rosie said in a fight with Hasselbeck:

I haven't -- I just want to say something. 655,000 Iraqi civilians are dead. Who are the terrorists? 655,000 Iraqis -- I'm saying you have to look, we invaded ... I'm saying if you were in Iraq, and the other country, the United States, the richest in the world, invaded your country and killed 655,000 of your citizens, what would you call us? PS: Speaking of personal attacks, Matthew Balan noted that Behar had her own Rosie critique on CNN:

DON LEMON: What about her at the – Barbara's show – the last show, where Barbara Walters left, saying she was sort of walking around like she, you know-

JOY BEHAR: Like she owned the show?

LEMON: Yeah --

BEHAR: She always acts like that. She probably walks around her bathroom like that. That's Rosie!
