Roland Martin: Megyn Kelly Telling Black and Hispanic Kids 'It's a White World and You Don't Matter'

As amazing as it might seem, the race-baiters and Fox-haters are still talking about Megyn Kelly's comments regarding Santa Claus.

News One Now host Roland Martin, appearing on Monday's Tom Joyner Morning Show, said, "[I]t reinforces where for black kids and Hispanic kids, it's, ‘Look, accept that this is a white, white world and you don't matter’” (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Martin later told his host that he should call for a 100 black Santas to go to Fox News studios in New York and sing a Christmas carol to Kelly.

Showing that it's all about race with him, Martin also said, “You know it's something when a white woman defends a fictitious character when James Earl Jones - a brother – and he still couldn't play Darth Vader when he took his mask off.”

(Apparently Martin missed the part about Vader's son being Luke Skywalker, a man who very obviously was the descendent of two white parents. Yes, that would have made a whole lot of sense to then suddenly expose Skywalker's father as really being a black man.)

But none of this should surprise folks familiar with Martin, for he's one of the biggest race-baiters in the nation.

That said, there's a larger issue here, and that is the amount of attention Kelly's remarks are still getting.

As NewsBusters reported Monday, NBC's Today show covered her comments about Santa having totally ignored former MSNBC host Martin Bashir calling for someone to defecate in Sarah Palin's mouth.

Actually, it wouldn't be at all surprising if Kelly's comments end up getting far more coverage by the liberal media than Bashir's.

CBS Late Show host David Letterman joked about Kelly's remarks Monday. So did Comedy Central's Jon Stewart - again!

So why is the liberal media so fixated on this?

Fox News's Bill O'Reilly on Monday said it's simply because they despise his network's success, and look to demonize Fox whenever they can.

I agree, but think the race issue and the declining popularity of President Obama are greater factors.

At this point in time, the liberal media are in a total panic over the disaster that is ObamaCare and the declining poll numbers of the current White House resident.

In September and early October, the Obama-loving press were almost orgasmic as poll numbers for Republicans plummeted with the government shutdown.

Visions of Democrats taking back the House and Obama having free rein to do whatever he wanted in his final two years in office danced in their heads.

Enter the disastrous rollout of ObamaCare, as well as revelations that the President did indeed lie to get the bill passed, and now these same people are worried that not only won't Democrats take back the House, they might actually lose the Senate.

With their dreams shattered, the liberal media need to figure out some way to move the discussion away from the disaster that is ObamaCare and on to something that can tarnish Republicans.

What's the tonic that cures their ills?

Racism, of course - unless some Republican has made a remark about birth control or abortion. Then it would be the War on Women.

As we've seen over the years, there's always something the liberal media will trout out when things are looking bad for their Party.

This time it's the color of Santa Claus's skin.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
