Readers are strongly advised to remove all fluids, flammables, and sharp objects from their computers' proximity as the following is likely to cause uncontrollable fits of laughter! You've been warned!

In response to CNN's Sanjay Gupta changing his mind a few weeks ago and coming out in support for medical marijuana, a dispensary in Boulder, Colorado, has named a strain of pot after him:

Gupta Kush is pure medicine from a true Indica, which means it is generally indicated for pain, anxiety, low appetite and those in need of both physical and mental rest and recovery without heavy doses of pharmaceuticals.

SGK gives the user a euphoric state that helps relax the mind without causing the cloudiness that can accomany other Indica strains. In fact, thoughts may be pleasant and creative, but generally of a calm and kind nature. Depending on your need and energy levels, SGK will also likely allow your mind to quiet enough for a good night of sleep.

For the body, Gupta Kush is a great pain and tension reliever, causing warm waves of relaxation to move through the limbs and leaving behind an almost optiate-like feeling that allows the user to get some deep conscious rest and healing before drifting off to sleep.

Gupta must be so proud to join other personalities that have been so "honored" such as Barack Obama, Willie Nelson, Bob Marley, LeBron James, Vin Diesel, Woody Harrelson, Jeremy Lin, Snoop Dogg, Chuck Norris, Elvis Presley, Michael Phelps, Connie Chung, and Luke Skywalker.

The Helping Hands Herbal Dispensary indicates Gupta Kush can be used for anorexia, weight loss, anxiety, chemotherapy side effects, chronic pain, divorce, hypertension, insomnia, low appetite, nausea, PTSD, stress, and tension.

In a press release published Thursday, the dispensary owner Jeff Kless said, “Dr. Gupta's recent reporting on marijuana puts him at the forefront of the medical cannabis movement, and we thought what better way to honor his efforts than by giving him his own strain. We’d like to ensure he remains part of the annals of cannabis culture, and now he will...Considering this new strain is grown organically in Boulder, which has a strong marijuana culture and is ranked the healthiest place in America, we think it’s a great fit."

But it's not high times for the dispensary.

According to Animal New York, Kless was called by a CNN representative Friday asking that Gupta's name be removed from the new strain.

“We may have to change the name,” Kless told ANY by phone. “CNN phoned us and asked us to remove it. I think we’ll leave it alone for the weekend and see what happens.”

Kless is apparently waiting to see if he receives a cease and desist from the network.

Stay tuned.
