Obama Girl Tells Hannity 'At Least I Wasn't The Edwards Girl'

Amber Lee Ettinger, the woman who became famous for her viral video "I Got A Crush...on Obama," made it quite clear Thursday she's lost that loving feeling for the former junior senator from Illinois.

"If I had this crush on him the same way as I did in the beginning, I'd be the fool," she told Fox News's Sean Hannity.

In many respects, Ettinger was speaking for a lot of Americans -- in particular, so-called journalists! -- about how she was taken in by Barack Obama:

When you get into a relationship with somebody, they are great and perfect. They say all the right things. And then once you're in the relationship, it's like, okay, they're not that perfect.

But maybe her best comment of the evening was, "Well, at least I wasn't the Edwards Girl" (video embedded below the fold with partial transcript, h/t Story Balloon):

SEAN HANNITY, HOST: So, you've fallen out of love.

AMBER LEE ETTINGER, AKA OBAMA GIRL: I just don't have that big crush like I used to.

HANNITY: It's gone.

ETTINGER: Yeah, I mean it was two years ago. If I had this crush on him the same way as I did in the beginning, I'd be the fool. You know, it's like a relationship. When you get into a relationship with somebody, they are great and perfect. They say all the right things. And then once you're in the relationship, it's like, okay, they're not that perfect.

HANNITY: So, those, those words, those speeches they ring a little hollow. It doesn't have the same, you don't want to stand up and chant, "Yes, yes we can."

ETTINGER: Well, everyone last night watching the speech got a good workout, ‘cause I think they got up like 86 times, like clapping for him. But I think it was a lot of recycled talk. [...]

HANNITY: Did the country get caught up in this hypnotic trance?

ETTINGER: Absolutely, for sure. But I think it's dying a little bit now, right.

HANNITY: You think a lot of it's his fault? You know, it's simple things. You know, if you're going to not hire a lobbyist, don't hire a lobbyist.

ETTINGER: Don't hire a lobbyist. Yeah, broken promises. People like, you know, talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words. And even with a relationship, you know, once people, your boyfriend or girlfriend doesn't do what they say they're going to do, you kick them to the curb.

HANNITY: So, in other words, it's almost like a boyfriend lied to you?

ETTINGER: Sort of. [...]

HANNITY: Would you vote for him again today?

ETTINGER: Right now I can't say for sure.

HANNITY: Like, if you had to choose today, right now.

ETTINGER: Who's, who's my other options?

HANNITY: Let's say either Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Gov. Palin, Mike Huckabee...

ETTINGER: Well, at least I wasn't the Edwards Girl, right? That's one thing I know.

HANNITY: Alright, that's the line of the year.

How many members of the media are feeling exactly the same way as Ettinger?

Of course, the difference is she's willing to admit she was fooled.
