Rush Limbaugh Bad, Fergie and J-Lo 'Cool NFL Owners'

If the National Football League is really concerned about the behavior of its owners away from the field, maybe it should take a close at the Miami Dolphins.

As Big Hollywood reported Friday, pop artists Fergie and Jennifer Lopez both have minority interests in the NFL team in Southern Florida.

Despite being labeled as "Cool NFL Owners" in a Kansas City Star piece Wednesday -- coincidentally the same day Rush Limbaugh was thrown out of the prospective ownership group bidding on the St. Louis Rams -- Fergie and J-Lo have some incidents in their respective pasts that are far worse than anything Limbaugh was falsely accused of saying.

For instance, these are lyrics from a J-Lo song performed with rapper Ja Rule a few years ago (extreme vulgarity alert):

What's my motherfuckin' name? R-U-L-E
Blowin' back on this Mary Jane, I'm analyzin' the game

And the game done chose me
To bring pain to pussy niggaz and pussy hoes, it's one in the same [...]

Tired of bein' alone Yeah, yeah
Sick of arguin on the phone Yeah, yeah
Are you tellin' all your friends Yeah, yeah
That your nigga don't understand My love [...]

Bitch, I ain't doin' this shit for nuttin'
I'm here to get it poppin', hoppin, let's ride up in the Benz
Hair blowin' in the wind, sun glistenin' off my skin, hey
I'm nasty, heh, you know me
But you still don't fuck with your baby [...]

Now people screamin' what the deal with you and so and so
I tell them niggas, mind their biz, but they don't hear me though
Cause I live my life to the limit and I love it
Now I could breathe again, baby, now I could breathe again

This is the kind of trash J-Lo co-authored and performed years ago, but Rush Limbaugh is too divisive for the NFL.

As for Fergie, this from Big Hollywood:

Earlier this week, [NFL Commissioner Roger] Goodell said of Limbaugh’s potential ownership, “Divisive comments are not what the NFL is all about.” Is he splitting hairs between “comments” and “lyrics?” Because these lyrics from a 2003 Black Eyed Peas song sounds pretty divisive to me:

Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin’
In the USA, the big CIA …

A war is goin’ on but the reason’s undercover
The truth is kept secret, it’s swept under the rug

Nothing like accusing the CIA of terrorism and our government of lying to bring people together. Goodell also said, “We’re all held to a high standard here.”

Really? Does this meet his high standard?

Whatcha gonna do with all that junk
All that junk inside your trunk
I’ma get get get get you drunk
Get you love drunk off my hump
My hump my hump my hump my hump my hump
My hump my hump my hump my lovely little lumps

How about drinking so much that you wet your pants, mid-song, on stage, in front of a live audience?

Yeah, I guess the NFL doesn't mind its owners urinating in public, nor them cursing out and threatening tennis officials.

Or didn't you know that tennis star Serena Williams, who during this year's U.S. Open shouted at a linesman, “If I could, I would take this fucking ball and shove it down your fucking throat," was also a part owner of the Dolphins?

I guess that's also acceptable to the NFL, but being a conservative radio talk show host isn't.

Well, a sports organization has to have its standards.
